Q:I noticed when the light is switched off, the lEDs stay dimly lit. Is this normal for this? My wiring is correct and this light is a replacement for another of the same that just stopped working. The older fixture didn't have this issue.

Mounting bracket does not align with wire inputs
The mounting bracket does not align with wire inputs on the top of the light. When using the bracket the 120V and ground wires will be pinched between light housing and the mounting bracket. Bad design, the access portal for the wires needs to be larger diameter. If you have one of these and are using the mounting bracket, go back and verify that the wires are not pinched and at risk for a short.

Poor Mounting Bracket Design
The hole area in the bracket is not big enough to go around where the wires come out of the light though, which will prevent the light from being flush. Customer Service said they will reach out to Commercial Electric to see if a bracket with a larger diameter is available. I doubt CE will have any because otherwise one would be included. A larger diameter would require the arms to be higher to align with the keyholes on the fixture. Poor design and no quality control.

WARNING if you have to use the box adaptor.
Nice bright light does wonders for my rather dark log cabin bedroom.
Downside is the provided box mount adaptor creates an electric short hazard. Had to modify to clear wires in the back
strain relief.

Installed two of these on wall in stair way on new house September 2017. They don't last as I have replaced both of these twice and one is out again now August 2019. They will not come on and when you turn switch off it will glow for a couple of minutes. Home Depot gives a 5 year warranty and have replaced both the bad ones which is 4 lights in total. But I am getting tired of light out on stairs and having to go thru the process of replacement.

This light is ideal for closets and unfinished spaces. I've been using these particular fixtures for a while and they really give you a lot of bang for your buck. They are really lightweight and compact, and the design is really no-nonsense. There aren't many parts to it, just the base and the cover. And it super easy to install
These fixtures really provide a lot of light in a standard to medium size closet, more light than normal. And these are also really handy for using in places like unfinished basements and tool sheds. The design makes it really low maintenance.
Its really compact and low profile design makes it ideal for installing in locations where ceiling height is an issue. It also can be installed in most locations where you would find a pull chain light in a basement.
And then there is the price. At $20 you can't lose.
