A:  Hi GoGators, yes it can.

A:  I'm a little old-school and used to be an electrician, and in my experience no photocell should be mounted where it can be exposed to direct sunlight. In the U.S., facing it to the north is best. Or else rig up a shield to protect it from direct sunlight.

A:  Yes. It's not sensitive like a camera lens.

A:  Black connects to incoming line (120V usually black). White connects to incoming neutral (usually white). Controlled lamp(s) connect to white (neutral) and red (switched 120V output). Any required ground(s) bypass the sensor.

              A:  There are no instructions

                Poor quality - doesn’t last
I’ve installed two of these products in the last couple months to replace the original sensor for my outdoor post light (which had worked for many years). Both of the new sensors failed after a few days / weeks of use. My post light stays on all day. I don’t know if there is a bad batch but something is definitely wrong with the ones I’ve purchased from Home Depot. I’ll be using this a different brand moving forward. Do not recommend.
