Yes. It seems like it is made out of fiberglass. A really good look that is very durable.

Can you apply to a concrete step that has a rounded bull nose at the front? Another way of asking - is the cover at the front edge flexible so you can mold it or is hard hard?
Asked by: JJ
I believe there shouldn't be a problem especially if the radius is no more than a half inch. I live in the NE and this pass December (3-weeks ago), I installed them on an outside basement cinderblock stairs case for my tenants and they like them as I do. So I haven't had them long. But I am concern that the Liquid Nail Extreme or Gorilla glue adhesive ( which comes in a 10 ounce tube like a chalking gun. Model # LN 909), would really hold up to the weather year after year, as it advertisement claims it would. So as added precaution, I used two concrete anchors per step ( the kind that you hammer into the hole and it spreads out. Locking it into the cement. Home Depot sells them. They are called Red Head Hammer Set, 1/4 x 1" Model number 35300 ). So before I glued the threads down, I pre-drilled two holes about 1inch from the back edge of the stairs thread and about 14 inches from the both side. After that, I laid the threads down and marked the cinder block steps through the holes. I then drilled the cement. After clearing the area of cement dust, I glued the steps and laid the threads down. I aligned the two holes of the thread with the two holes in the cement with a Philip screw driver, inserted the anchors and hammered the anchors in. Good luck.

Beat way to install? Ashesive or screws? What kind of screws for wooden steps?

Asked by: Jen
I used wood screws with a fender washer for the wooden steps, I put them, one on each corner and one in the middle so a total of 6 in each. We are a busy office and have lots of people each day up and down on them. I had them on now for 3 years and still work great.

Do these work with TREX stairs? How would you attach them - screws? If so, do I need special ones for TREX material?
Asked by: Pat
I used them on concrete stairs and attached them with screws and construction adhesive. They worked well for my use. I would ask manufacturer if it can be used on Trex. Also ask Trex.
