Questions & Answers

Is this a "double action" ratcheting driver? When it is set to turn the bit clockwise, does the bit turn clockwise when the handle is rotated clockwise AND when the handle is turned counter-clockwise? Is that what the "continuous drive" is alluding to?

When the collar on the shaft is held still, the screwdriver will go in a single direction regardless of which way the handle is turned

You could sell just the pair of extensions that are included with this, and probably get the same amount for them all day not including the driver. These bit extensions with ball detent on the male side are useful and nobody else sells something like it.

This set includes a magnetic shaft that holds the bits and extensions securely in place. To remove a bit or extension, simply pull it away from the magnetic shaft.

              Trash
Just bought it and took it out and it’s trash. Should’ve known based off the price. After a few playful turns testing it out, the ratchet locks up or skips periodically. Better suggestion if you’re looking at this is to spend the extra for the Craftsman version which I’ve had for several years and still works great and this is from a non craftsman fan but their continuous ratcheting screwdriver is superior in every aspect.

                Clever tool
This is the nicest screwdriver, I have ever bought. I need to get another one, because this screwdriver came with the stainless steel drill-bit, extensions I've been looking for. I'm giving this product 1000% genius, tool reward.

                  Didn't see that coming
I bought the Husky drive ratcheting screwdriver set because my rear view mirror came loose, and I wasn't in my work vehicle. The tool worked fine, no issues there. I am confused as to why there are three cartridges of tips and a short extension with only storage for one cartridge. That's how tools get lost. I'm not going to return it, but that's not convenient.

Only has storage for 5 of 15 bits
I like the idea behind this 18 piece ratcheting screwdriver; however, the execution of the product is lacking in some areas. With the product I tested, the ratcheting action was smooth and worked well in both directions. One can set the screwdriver to forward ratcheting, no ratcheting and reverse ratcheting. If you hold the collar while turning the ratcheting mechanism, the directional rotation of the bit will be applied when you turn the handle forward and backward which doubles the amount of bit rotation. This is the main selling point of the product. In use, I found the two provided shafts do not have a good attachment mechanism. The shafts have a pin detent but the handle does not so it becomes a friction fit that can be too easily overcome causing the shaft to come out of the handle too easily. I also found the magnet in the tip of the shafts which is designed to hold in the bits is not very strong. This results in the bits coming out of the shaft too easily. Beyond those issues, my biggest complaint it the lack of bit storage. I think it is great you can pull out the bottom of the handle to store bits. However, it can only store one of the three bit holders (five bits in each holder). I think the other bits will be quickly lost for most users.

                  Love it
I have never been a fan of a ratcheting screwdriver but this thing is amazing! I have not used any other screwdriver since I bought this one. I have used it from removing wall plates to replacing the lights on my car. So far it had every bit I have needed for all the little projects I have used it for. There is an extention that I havent had to use yet and 15 different bit options. Smooth to operate and easy to use.

                  Impressive Screwdriver
This screwdriver has the look and feel of one of those higher priced brand screwdrivers from a German brand. The screwdriver is packed with a features that normally you have to buy 2 screwdrivers to get. First you get the ratcheting capability if you would like to use it. The ratcheting mechanism is easy to switch to tighten or loosen or switch off so it would act like a standard screwdriver. The second feature your get is a quick turn feature. This allows you to hold the screwdriver near where the handle and shaft meet. Holding there allows you to twist the handle to move the shaft to twist your screw in. This will allow you to drive anything twice as fast compared to a standard screwdriver. The screwdriver also comes with plenty of bits, you get flat head. Philips, and square drive bits. The bits come in 3 separate holders. One of the downside to the screwdriver is though it has three but holders the onboard bit storage can only hold one at a time in the handle. The screwdriver also comes with 2 interchangeable shafts, a longer and shorter one. Again downside is there is no built in storage for the second shaft when not in use. This driver is by Husky so you do get the lifetime warranty backing it. Which is super nice but this is pretty well made so if you aren’t super rough with your tools you may never need to use that warranty. Overall I am really impressed with this screwdriver.

                  Smooth ratcheting and comfortable handle
This ratcheting screwdriver is great! The ratchet action is very smooth. The handle is very comfortable in my hand. It has the switch to reverse but also you can set it in neutral and use as a regular screwdriver. It did come with 15 bits, with 5 each on 3 separate circular holders. There is a place in the handle to hold the bits, which is great but unfortunately, it only holds 1 set. I ended up snapping the extra sets on the screwdriver to store them there

Great driver to speed the installation/removal of long screws.
This driver is great for turning long machine screws or assembling flat pack furniture. It does not do well on tight fasteners using the high speed mechanism because you have to hold the ring at the end of the handle to get the high speed ratcheting to function and it is difficult to hold firmly. You can lock the mechanism for turning tighter screws but you lose the benefit of the high speed ratchet. The ratcheting mechanism allows you to turn screws at twice the speed by making the driver shaft turn in the same direction when you turn the handle in either direction. This works well in situations where you have both hands free, like driving screws to mount an outlet or switch. It would be difficult to use overhead like when hanging a light fixture unless you lock the mechanism and use it as a regular screwdriver. There is a switch on the handle that allows you to choose counterclockwise, locked and clockwise. I was excited to see that the driver had in handle storage for the included bits, but I was quickly disapointed to see that there was only room for one of the three bit holders and nowhere to store the extension. The in handle storage looks like a spool which allows one of the three bit packs to snap into place. I think it would work better if there was just a hollow handle to store all of the bits loosly.

                  Go Ratchet!
I'm replacing my old Husky screwdriver and this one is like a dream. If you hold the center collar, the mechanism will drive the screw regardless of the direction you turn the handle. So as your turn forward, it's screwing forward, as you turn back, it's screwing forward. It's a very cool design and doubles the speed. The ratchet can also be operated with thumb and forefinger, meaning one-handed operation in tight spaces. It comes with 4 hex bits, 3 torx bits as well as flat-head and Phillips bits in common sizes. I'd love it if this came with a storage box, but the extra bit cylinders do fit around the extensions, and the extensions fit into one another meaning you can combine everything together to keep it all in one place. I'm actually keeping it in a spare plastic box I have, where I can also store spare tips. I like the design of the handle cap also, because it's attached, meaning it won't get lost or misplaced like other screwdrivers I've had. Seems to me that it's a lot of tool, for not a lot of money and something I would recommend.

                  Great Ratcheting Screwdriver
This is a handy screwdriver set that has a ratcheting feature that keeps the screwdriver spinning in the direction you want even on the backwards ratchet stroke. It takes 2 hands to do it, but with a regular screwdriver I usually need one hand to hold the bit tight to the screw anyway. This worked perfectly driving small screws into the wall to hold a security light, and really fast. It also reverses direction easily. It has 2 extensions you can attach to make basically 3 different screwdriver lengths. It comes with a good assortment of bits on 3 collars that hold 5 bits each, but only one fits in the handle at a time for storage. The bits are well marked.
