Keep out of reach of children and pets. Even if a plant is classified as non-toxic someone might have individual allergies that are not known. If ingested or used topically, they could be toxic. We ask that all plants be kept out of the reach of pets and children and never used for medicinal purposes.

A:  Hi Cactus, Thank you for your question! Fallen and yellowing leaves are usually caused by excess or a lack of moisture in the soil. Also, with excess of direct sun lights.

A:  There is no saucer. It’s just a white plastic pot and the plant comes in a black container inside this pot. The system can act like a saucer but I would recommend moving it to a pot and saucer combo. The plastic white pot is nice though and could work as an aesthetic.

A:  No. My plant came with no saucer or pot. I’m not used to then when I bought my last 6 plants. Teaed me off

A:  Separate

A:  I have had the same plant for about a month now. I use a soil moisture sensor meter to determine when a plant needs water. It is available for around $10 on the internet. So far this plant has needed about 1/2 cup of water every 10 days. Hope this helps.

A:  Hi Crystal! Thank you for your question! Browning could be a coupe of things. There may not be enough light for your little tree or it may not be receiving enough water. We would love to hear from you at questions@costafarms.com, our experts are happy to help!

A:  I'm far from a bonsai expert, but the browning may mean too much water. In my experience, ficus do better with moderate watering, and can even tolerate underwatering. Overwatering leads to "legginess" -- that is, long stretches of branch between leaf nodes -- while moderate watering encourages more leaves and less branch. Fertilize lightly every two or three weeks, less in winter. Generally, repot bonsai only when they're potbound, rarely more than once every 18 months or so. There are countless good sites for bonsai care -- type in "bonsai ficus care" and a dozen will appear.

A:  Get yourself a chopstick and use it to check when the plant needs water. Do not overwater this plant. If you have this plant indoors it requires very bright light.

A:  Usually get yellow from too much water. I am not in the majority maybe but I spray every day--to seem like rain. Water 2 times a week. It should be fine. Don't repot yet. It had enough shock. Let it grow a season.
