I am trying to stack shoes in mind will it work?
The shoes would need to be either childs or very small adult.

This size doesn't work (see photo). if you use a larger one (I purchased this one, too), you could probably fit about 4-5 pairs. I have mine hanging on the wall. They are not very deep. They might hold some flats if you lay the crate flat but sneaks would be too tall. They aren't very wide or long either. Not sure how you plan on using then for shoes but you would def. Have the right size foot.

No. The pins used to hold the box together would not support the weight of person, let alone a mattress.
You need regular pallets for supporting a mattress.
Maybe with the dispersed weight but my husband accidently stepped on one of mine and it broke
The small crates would be strongest facing down so that the ends are taking the bulk of the weight however we can't verify that they would be able to hold a mattress and person 100%.
