A must have for any carpenter.
This is a must have for anyone who puts up drywall. Makes the job easy, and easy on your arm. Orange anti shock area between handle and head reduces vibration. A cutting tool on one side to score the drywall, with a nail puller, and a gap area to lift the drywall into place. It also has a waffled and beveled head that counter sinks the nails without ripping the paper, and provides a little texture to make the joint compound adhere better. The handle is anti slip which gives you a good grip even with sweaty hands. It fits the hand nicely. Worked extremely well. Good product and well made.

Great design for a hammer
One of the best hammers I have used. It is very lightweight for its sturdiness and well-built. Feels super stable and does what it is supposed to. Most hammers I have used are very heavy and hurts my wrist after a while. This one is lighter without compromising its ability. I love that it has the sharp flat back that can help me pull out old nails, but highly recommend to be careful using it, because it can be quite sharp when swinging it. Great addition to the toolbox!

Knock yourself out - get one!
Very nice specialty hammer from trusted Crescent brand. I really like this drywall hammer. The "ergonomic grip" feels great in my hand. Very well balanced design just feels right. The milled face of the hammer is beautiful for driving in those drywall nails. The "hatchet" side can be used for scoring drywall to break to size or as a typical hatchet to make final trim adjustments or knock out a hole for an outlet box. Not sure I will use the v-notch for pulling nails, but good to have there if needed.

Very durable tool
This is an excellent tool for removing or installing drywall and driving nails to secure anything onto a wall. It is made of precision-hardened steel to help the hammer last longer and a serrated strike face for connecting with the nails and driving them properly into place. The handle has a textured grip giving the users a sure hold when driving nails or demolishing a drywall. The V-notch helps pull or pry free a stubborn nail. It has a lifetime warranty and it's made in the USA.

An outstanding drywall hammer.
Once again, we have another outstanding product from the Crescent brand. This is the first hammer I have owned that is designed specifically for drywall installation. Over the years I have done a lot of drywall installation as a DIY. I had no idea the effect a specifically made drywall hammer would have on the installation process and how it could speed up the process and make it so much easier. This hammer goes to show you are never too old to learn something new. I recommend this drywall hammer for both the professional and DIY. The hammer grip is outstanding, fitting in the palm of your hand with no loosing after extended usage. See attached photographs. Well done, Crescent!

These Guys Make a Beautiful Hammer
These Guys Make a Beautiful Hammer. Actually, they make beautiful tool across their entire line. This one is well balanced, hard, hard steel and ready to beat up whatever is in the way of that solid head. The rear axe is a nice tool, too and even if you are not doing drywall, it will come in handy for many years to come. Can you sharpen the axe? Sure can!

Drywall hammers are very useful
Drywall hammers are very useful when doing drywall work. I have been a builder and a remodeler for 53 years, and often do drywall work. While most drywall these days is hung with screws, not nails, drywall hammer like this one are still very useful. Often the hammer can be used for the final cutting or chipping away to fit a piece of drywall into its space.

Average Drywall Hammer
The Crescent Steel Drywall Hammer is an average hammer. It has a nice handle grip and seems to be balanced. The things I do not like is the chopping edge is very dull. I think it could be a bit sharper as a new hammer. The V to pull out nails seems to be a bit small and too thick to be very useful. I do like the hammer serrated head and its size. It has a hole in the handle for hanging up during storage. I would like to see both corners of the cutting edge rounded. One is and one is not. I think this is a safety suggestion as the square corner is too pointed. Over all I think it is an average drywall hammer.

Handy, quality tool.
This a quality tool that I am happy to add to my handyman toolbox. It has an excellent padded handle and is very well balanced. The striking face has just enough curvature and texturing to give you the slight textured dimple you need to hold the compound when applied. The hatchet side can be kept sharp enough to score drywall for breaking or marking for boxes to be cut out. Or you can use the axe to cut small thin strips of wood as needed. The tool can also be used as a handle to carry sheets or partial sheets of drywall using the notch between the handle and axe portion. Construction is strong and light weight.
