Q:It says you can upload simplicity patterns and cut fabric? Just wondering how this is possible when the machine is not wide enough to fit the fabric.

A: Based on the colors it's available in, I believe this is the original Maker (the Maker 3 doesn't come in different colors yet) and in the pictures it just says "Cricut" on the blade holder (the maker 3 says "Cricut Maker 3" on the blade holder).

A: As far as I know there is no difference. The Maker will cut a variety of materials if that’s what you are speaking of.

A: This one is a Cricut Maker that one might be a Cricut Explorer which i believe can cut paper and vinyls but can not additionally do cuts to thin wood or leather like the Maker can. As for the paper and plastic difference I am not sure but it could also be related to the kind of materials it can cut. Hope this helps.

The cricut was easy to set up and connect. Easy instructions and pretty much ready to go right out of the box. Though we just got the cricut, it seems like there are endless projects you can do. One thing I dislike, is you have to buy certain fonts and images, but then again what is free in this world. Though this is our first cricut, it has blown our expectations on the endless possibilities of cuts, crafts, and projects that it can perform.

Great! When it works

I love my Cricut Maker (when it works). However, the bands on the machine keep dislocating causing my mats to go in sideways, messing up my mats and causing a jam and a lot of wasted time trying to shimmy them back into place. I've had this issue with two Cricut Makers now. I was able to get the first one replaced since it was still under warranty. The second one is past the warranty; I am not sure I want to purchase a third one just to keep having the same issue happen over and over again. I've seen this issue happen to a few other people, but I cannot figure out why it's happening. I've been a Cricut user for 7+ years so I know it's not a user error. I didn't have this issue at all with my previous Cricut explorer Air so maybe it's just the Cricut Maker? I love the Cricut design program but I'm really thinking of switching over to another brand completely.
