Hello wynne. The XT1 LT50 has a hydrostatic transmission with an electric PTO. Thank you for your question.
Hello chrisc. You can contact Cub Cadet at 1-877-428-2349 for a wiring diagram. Thank you for your question.
Hello John. The XT1 LT50 does not have rear differential lock. All of our residential mowers are designed and approved to safely operate on slopes up to a maximum of 15 degrees of incline. Thank you for your question.
John = "Rear Locking DIFF" a MUST ??? ... Used ??? a) - Within ALL of the Residential, Lawn Mower Units available from Cub Cadet -(.. excluding special "XT3" Pair)- there is ONLY ONE: Cub Cadet - XT2 GX 54" D = Model Number - 14AHA6TMA10 - which has available your Diff Lock as Standard Feature. b) - Neither Home Depot nor does Cub Cadet Division sell / offer "USED" equipment.
Rush = My older {54"} Cub Cadet's Tires "spun" while trying a 20 degree slope ...... will this Unit be different? {Of Course NOT! ....} a) - 100% of Current Tractor-Mowers ALL have and utilize Turf-saving Tire Treads. b) - YOU have been very fortunate w/ Older Unit on 20 degree Slope & only experienced spinning tires ... Unit might have "tipped-over" upon YOU, instead. c) - Mowing (back 'N forth) sideways is never recommended.
Manual says not to operate it in excess of 15 degrees so I don’t know for sure. However, the hydrostatic transmission allows you to “manually” control speed output instead of having to use a specific gear. This variance may make it less likely to slip.

I’ve had mine for 3 months & love it. The prefab deck is a plus & it’s solid. It feels rugged, it looks rugged, it is rugged. I mow down small trees, blazing trails in the woods. The basic parts (air/oil filter, spark plugs) are easily accessible. It rides nice. Handles nice. My biggest complaint is the lack of lower back support & the super sensitive safety seat. Just making minor adjustments can turn the blades off. If you stand up the engine shuts off. You can apply the brake to keep engine on while you step off but the blades always cut off. If you back up & don’t turn the ignition switch & push the button, blades shut off. This is may be a government mandate more than a manufacturing issue so all riding mowers probably have same annoying feature. The hydromatic transmission is very nice. No more clunky gear shifting. Check out the video to see it in action.
after using this deck for 2 years.... I hate this deck design.... it throws dirt on you constantly... it has an edge all around the deck that catches all debris.... you must clean the underside of this deck constantly.... crappy engineer design...
Hello CRW. A fabricated mower deck is typically built from heavier plate steel and is welded. Stamped mower decks are usually made of lighter gauge steel which is formed by large molds and presses. A fabricated deck is best if you need a deck to face longer wear and tear. It is more durable and will last longer. A stamped deck has better air flow. If you only mow your lawn once a week, this mower should be sufficient. Thank you for your question.
I’ve attached a photo of the correct blades for this model.
