Does this model air fry?

Answer

Yes it does air fry very well. The Wirecutter.com review said it is the best air fryer. It cooks evenly and very high heat is possible. It is very odd they are not marketing this as an air fryer.

Is the interior tall enough to bake a regular loaf of bread?

The oven has good heat distribution, move the racks to center to your finished loaf dimensions so the loaf that won't rise to the top. I have only made quick breads so far. They rise high and have a perfect finished crust. I always use one of the convection settings, slow for bread.

Follow the recipe. Use high convection. Use appro rack level. Use a flat rack in pan, not included. It can air fry almost anything. If using a conventional recipe, set the temp 25F lower. Wirecutter is right. The only downside they don't mention is it uses a dangerous power cord that can melt and short on the hot metal at the back of the oven.

I was hesitant to replace the microwave with this beauty. Not anymore! Best decision ever! This sweet box heats up food FAST! Toast? Easy peasy. Leftovers, 5 minutes is all I need. Reducing the unhealthy habits of a microwave? Priceless. Very happy with this purchase. This is like an "Easy Bake" oven for adults! Way to go Cuisinart!

I have been using this Cuisinart 1800 toaster oven almost everyday for about 2 weeks now, and love it! It bakes just like a full size oven. It toasts bread even on both sides. The controls are easy to read and operate. You can turn off the convection on any setting. I would suggest when baking pizza or biscuits to either turn off convection or lower temperature by 25° if you don't like them overly browned. I love having the light so you don't have to open the oven door to see how your food is cooking. Note that when using the timer, the oven does shut off when time expires. The only negative is that when using the bottom rack, it is difficult to pull out when hot. There is not enough room between the oven door and the rack to pull it out when using pot holders. It would be nice if the bracket that pulls out the oven rack was on the bottom one instead of the second from the top. Other than that one issue, I am very pleased with this purchase!

Very attractive toaster oven which heats very evenly, and has good controls for a wide range of cooking. We're really pleased with it. We have had it for three weeks and use it every day. It is a good size so I can cook a variety of meat and vegetables, in addition to baking and toasting. Using the convection feature is very useful (no preheating). I rarely use my large oven now.

Not Your Average Toaster Oven
Customer review from cuisinart.com logo
I bought this since my current oven is not working properly and I can't find an range that I like to replace it. So rather than buy something I don't like, I bought this as a temporary replacement. I wanted something with a convection oven feature and this baby does not disappoint. It does take up a lot of counter space but I expected that when I bought it. I like the fact that I can use most of my bakeware in it and don't have to buy special size pans. The pizza stone is an added bonus (make sure you season it before using it). I love that it preheats super quick. It cuts my cooking time in half. If you looking for a work horse of a toaster oven, then this is it.

We purchased and are using it more than our prior toaster oven. This is like a mini oven. Example, we have made 2 pizzas in this. It will handle most coming needs.

This oven is NOT UL Listed as it says in the Specification section. I am concerned to keep it plugged in all the time. Have used this oven for about 3-4 weeks now so reliability remains to be seen. But, I chose it over the Breville based on reviews of reliability and longer warranty, plus the fact that another department store sent me a previously returned, heavily soiled Breville oven which didn't sit well with me. Have used it for bagels, toast, potato casserole (9X12), and tater tots so far. I save time with the bake function, not having to heat my regular oven, and the bake function worked well so far. However, the bagel and toast functions take much longer (4 -5 min for toast, depending on shade and no. of slices) than my old Black & Decker toaster oven, which is very irritating on rushed school mornings. Can't find a combination to speed it up, so I will try the broil setting next.

After owning an Extra Large Oster Toaster Oven that died after only 4 years I purchased a new one and promptly returned it as the quality was worst than my previous one so I started researching toaster ovens and narrowed it down to Breville and Cuisinart and the Cuisinart won after reading others reviews comparing the 2 of them. I first purchased the smaller Cuisinart but returned it because it was just way too small and went with this one and I am SO HAPPY!! It is the perfect size, it has an oven light, fits 9x13 pans, comes with a Pizza Stone and best of all has a 3 YEAR warranty which to me means that they have confidence in their products!! It toasts bread perfectly, preheats super fast and bakes just about anything that I would bake in my regular oven, it is one of the best toaster ovens I have ever owned and well worth the expense!

Chef's convection toaster oven
Customer review from cuisinart.com logo
I love the way this oven cooks. Am still getting used to connection heat. I gave it a 4 because the oven gets very hot on the outside. I melted some plastic on top by accident. Now I leave the pizza stone on top.
