Questions & Answers

what size is the motor? what accessories come with it?

Erg

does this include all the blades for processing ?

YES

ronn

can I blend soup in this, will it spill?

The Pro Custom 11 food processor does not have an air tight seal like a blender, if you over fill it will leak. It is recommended for soup to use a slotted spoon and puree your cooked vegetables, then return them to the pot on the stove.

The slicing blades come with a stem the goes on the back, this holds the blades near the top so the food comes in contact with the feed tube. If you have access to the internet You Tube has a few Cuisinart videos that demonstrate how the accessories work. And how the blades attach. Hope this helps

Loved it and it's easy to use. I just used it for the first time to chop/slice fresh vegetables for my bean casserole that was cooking on the stove and crockpot. I had a Cuisinart Food Processor for 41 years before this but the motor was burning out from constant use. This is what made made buy a new one. The different was the old model had the stems attached to the blades and the new one you had to attached the stem to each blade manually which I didn't like. It took me over a 1/2 hour to figure out how to insert the disc to the blades. I wish the book or their website had photos or video on how to do this. I like the different feed tubes and one being wider than what was on my old model. Another good thing is the base didn't jump all over the counter like the old one and it stayed in place. It's easier to store in my kitchen cabinets because the stems come off the blade. When I went to take the stem off the blade it was easy.

It looks great in my kitchen. Would be nice if the funneling of food was in the front of processor instead of back.

Disappointing performance
Customer review from cuisinart.com logo
I purchased this on the recommendation of "Cooks" magazines product review. Although the review was for the 14 cup capacity, I assumed the 11 cup would work equally well. So far, it has been a bit of a disappointment. I do not feel as though the motor is as strong as my old Cuisinart and the construction and parts seem flimsier. All in all it has been a disappointment and I wish I had waited until I was able to get a Braun food processor.

Does an excellent job. The blades are very close to the bottom of the bowl so the mixing is quite uniform and there is less trapping than in other models.
