A: I had lived in Germany for over 6 years. Same 220vac 50 cycles. You want a step DOWN transformer (bring voltage down from 220v to 110v). The motor will run a little slower because of the 50, instead of 60 cycles. (Side note: non-dual clocks loose 10 minutes and hour, so don't bother bringing.)
A: First of all, you would need a STEP DOWN transformer to reduce the 220 volts to 120 volts which the food processor is rated at. However, the food processor is also rated for 60 cycles, not 50 cycles as you are inquiring. Running the unit at 50 cycles will cause the motor to not rotate at the proper rpm's, which could likely cause the motor to overheat. I would not recommend doing this unless approved by Cuisnart.
