How many oz. does this contain?

6 cups/48 oz fills the blender to the bottom of lid. I wouldn't fill it that much though.

Does this have enough power to make homemade peanut butter or almond butter?

I don’t have professional opinion but based on making a smoothly, I would say no. It is supposed to be able to chop ice but I don’t think it’s powerful enough.

Love the brand, but this product has issues
Customer review from cuisinart.com logo
On my fourth duo blender food processor. The first lasted several years then just stopped. The second lasted about nine months then stopped. The third was a back up at a good price prior to the second one stopping. Unfortunately the third stopped within two weeks of it’s first use. I shopped for other blender/food processor brands but none met my need like my original Cuisinart from 2004. I’m trying one more time but I wish someone would explain why it just shuts off mid blending? It’s not over stressed, under liquified or misused. The older one did not do this.
