Q:Should I use Non-Cement or Cement Grout Haze Remover if I have no idea what type of grout I have? I have 35 year old tile, very narrow grout lines. Want to use Grout Renew to change the color.

A:  This product is for post grout job but for fusion pro I would recommend using Non-Cement product! If you look at the product photos above the third one (that is a video) explains the main difference in Non-Cement and Cement Haze Remover!

A:  Haze remover is used to clean tiles after installing grout. If you want the grout changed you would have to physically saw it out of there and re grout

              Worked good for me
Used this product to get grout and haze off of tile backsplash. Worked well and it was about 3 weeks post install. I didn't water it down at all. There were a couple of tiles where design slightly came off as well but not sure if from product or my excessive scrubbing. Using wet white cloth instead of scrubbing brush worked best for me.

                Doesn’t work
I have some pre-mix grout on slate tile that won’t come off. After calling aqua-mix customer service they said to use this product. Since the pre mix grout is non cement. I tried using 50/50 with water it did nothing but anger the grout. I let it sit 10 minutes and scrubbed with a nylon brush and nothing. I tried 100 percent solution let it sit a good 15 minutes and Scrubbed ,the grout laughed at me. Nothing seems to work. I don’t think this product does anything.

This product worked so well, I just applied it, waiting proper time, and washed grout residue right off the wall, without it I spent 45 minutes scrubbing one tile.

                  Spotty at best
Area where I applied product to spec was grouted a little over 24 hrs before. I should have left it the way it was. Actually worse in places.

I used this product on alabaster Fusion-Pro that had been setting up for about a week. I think it would have worked better if I had used it sooner, say within 2 or 3 days. The other key is to get the product on, and LET IT SOAK. Either keep sponging it on, or tape a paper towel onto the wall and spritz thoroughly with the product. Keep it damp for 5 to 10 minutes, scrub a bit, and set it up to soak again. It might take 2 or 3 of these sessions, but the haze will soften and you can get most of it off. Don't use green scrub pads! The green will seep into the haze remover as you scrub and it might stain your stone or remaining grout. Just use the white scrub pads. My other tip is to be sure your bottle is factory sealed. I can see how easy it would be for someone to use part of a bottle and refill it with water, and then return it to get their money back. I have worked at a return desk in another type of business and that type of thing happens all the time.

I used a knife to cut out the lumps. I pour Non-Cement Grout Haze Remover in a bowl, dipped a rag and rubbed it on the tile. I scrubbed for 30 seconds and let it stand for 2 minutes. I noticed bubbles on the tiles and started feeling relieved its working but was I wrong, after I wiped it with a clean wet rag and dried with a sponge it started looking as if nothing was done to clean the tiles. Waist of money and time.

It dries too fast. Does not stay wet long enough to be able to dissolve old grout. Especially on the walls.
