Polyblend Grout Renew is a waterborne acrylic stain and sealer for renewing or changing the color of cement grout joints. Impressive product to say the least.

I used this stuff roughly 6 months ago for the grout lines on my shower floor. The grout itself is not old or anything, but I wanted the grout to be just as black as the tile. Black grout is rarely truely black, it always comes out with a hazy shade of white when its laid. I wanted to see if this would do the trick to get the grout a true black. It absolutely did. It was tedious, but not at all difficult to apply. 6 months later, and it looks exactly the same as the day I applied it. Not even a spec of it has came off or faded. The sealant in this stuff is the real deal too, 100% works as a sealer. Im so happy that I put this stuff on 6 months ago, and I absolutely reccomend it to anyone.

So glad I bought this! We made some dire mistakes with our first DIY shower makeover. The grout turned so unsightly discolored that I thought we were stuck with the eye sore. I did some reading and all signs were pointing to having to gut all the grout and redo it. I seen this product pop up during one of the searches and thought it was worth a ditch effort. With full despair I gave it a shot not expecting much but I was so thrilled to see the project saved! Strongly recommend doing this in very small strokes to manage the cleanup as you go. Spent 3 hours to fully record our shower but saved days gutting and regrouting.

I don’t get impressed by many things but after countless hours searching for a way to make the white grout white again I tried this product. I used hydrogen peroxide and backing soda to clean the grout thoroughly, let it dry completely, then applied the first coat of Grout Renew with a small brush and worked it into the grout. I did short sections about a foot long to allow cleaning up the any areas that didn’t need to be covered. Did the whole floor, let it dry and applied a second coat. The floor looks new again and I couldn’t be happier. Based on how tough the finish is I expect it to last a long time. The left side of the picture shows the grout after applying the product. The right side shows the cleaned but stained grout.

A pain to put on but was worth it.

My wife and I used this product to cover up some grout discoloration. It was a pain to put on. It is more like a paint so you must carefully paint in the grout lines. I'd recommend cleaning any you get on the tile right away to make cleaning easier. We did this in a large bathroom and it took us like 3 hours of painting the lines but it looked perfect when we were done and has held up perfectly for the last 10 months.

Seems to adhere well, fixed my color problem

The installer used a grout that was way too light for my wood-look tile plank floor. Using this grout sealant made all the difference in giving the floor a true wood look instead of a "wood with grout lines" look. Plus the light grout lines would have stained over time. I should just be able to reapply this in the future if necessary. Brush it liberally in the grout lines then wipe off excess on the tile instead of going crazy trying to paint within the lines.

DO NOT USE

After 10 hours of painting our bathroom shower grout (lots of little stones), IT CHIPPED RIGHT OFF!! We let it dry for almost a week to be certain and the entire thing is RUINED!!! Now I have to figure out how to scrub it off and will have to call a professional. I have NO idea how this product is being made or sold with good reviews. It doesn’t stain into the old grout. This is horrible. Looks good at first but I don’t know ANY tiles that wouldn’t need to be cleaned or wiped down at some point.

Dirty looking floors? Change the grout color!

I read mixed reviews on this product. But, if you follow the directions, and make sure your grout is clean, this product is amazing. It is very easy to use, and the results are wonderful. I will recommend this product to my real estate clients as well. It’s an easy way to elevate the first impression of your home.
