Q:My tiling supplier that I just bought new, glass (and very pricey) mosaic tiles from told me to use non sanded grout as the sanded grout will scratch the tiles. Would this Prism grout be suitable? I can?t afford a costly mistake here.

The product overall was very good. I would advise splitting bags in half or 1/4…we mixed a whole bag and half set up in bucket before we got down that far…on us at that point! Once we adjusted it was exactly what we were looking for…I like the sealer being built in. Easy clean up as well!

Charcoal - turns up lighter than expected
This grout was advertised as the best quality @ Home Depot. instructions are vital in the installation, added chemicals are very harmful to the human body so be careful when contact to skin, also do Not breath this in while mixing, consistency of grout seemed to be promising but as we applied to the shower floor on river rock , did not set up . fan was placed. After a fan was placed there was only a short time frame to clean each river rock before hardening a light color. Very long cure time

I like it
I like this grout because the color goes well with my tiles but it is 4 stars because the pictured colors is not accurate. It is much lighter gray than you see in the picture.

My tile guy wanted this specific product on hand when he installed tile in the master bathroom. He told me this is the only product he will use because it dries in a pure color plus holds up for a lifetime with no fading and resist all stains . I still have plenty left over for the next project of the smaller bathroom. I am real please with the price and quality of this product and highly recommend it .

Don't trust the color!
I bought the color chips to choose my grout color, but what ended up between my tiles was a totally different color! It's a huge downer, the marketing is not to be trusted, you must do a sample, you can't trust the manufacturing. When I called for help, the response was my installer probably "used too much water and wiped the color off" so beware of that mistake. They are sending a colorant so we can re-wipe every grout line but no offer to help with the extra labor cost.

Tips For Working with This Grout - Rolling Fog
Great stuff.
-Dries too fast/hard to clean off the tiles?
Mix 1/2 bag at a time. DON’T mix with drill. Adds too much air, & makes grout dry too quick/much harder to work. Mix by hand for 5 min. Let sit - 5 min. Mix again, and grout. Wipe/tool within 20 min.
-Wrong color/mottling when dry.
Too much water used. Wring sponge out completely before wiping. See pics for box swatch vs dry Rolling Fog color. Pretty close. Mix a small dab, and let it dry to test final color before using.

problems with product setting up too fast
This grout set up within 15 minutes after you add the water you do not have time to work it into the grout lines. I mixed a half of a box one bag and only had 15 minutes and it had started setting up. I lost half of the first bag. I would not recommend it at all.

TOTAL CRAP
DO NOT buy this product! Doing a laborious job of flooring requires ample time and money. The color I chose was Oyster Gray. NOT EVEN CLOSE. The color on the box is NOT what it dried as! And it dries FAST, and clumps up! When it was wet, it looked great. Then, we began to see white areas coming through. We thought it was just the haze forming, but then the whole project ended with WHITE grout! Now we’re stuck with a floor that isn’t what we wanted. How can this company sell this junk?

Charcoal Color is WAAAY Off
We bought this product to match a black floor tile (also purchased at Home Depot). The sample on the box was almost a perfect match, which should have resulted in hard-to-see grout lines. Instead, we got this light gray color that is anything but hard-to-see. Not to mention the 3 hours spent wiping down a 140 sf roof to get rid of the grout haze, which is still hanging around. Do not buy!!!
