Hi-Build Ultra Clear Coat is a high performance, high solids acrylic clear coat sealer enhanced with urethane. Formulated with double the durability and performance power of many other retail sealers, Hi-Build Ultra offers significantly greater protection per coat from water, salt, dirt, grease, chemicals and foot traffic. It's an excellent choice for all kinds of interior and exterior residential, commercial and light industrial concrete floor surfaces.
  • Effective sealer/top coat for concrete as well as over-all DAICH stone-based floor finishes
  • 1 Gal. covers approximately 400-500 sq.ft. depending on surface porosity, 2 coats required

Q:The coverage says 2k Sq Ft but it also says it requires 2 coats. Is the 2k coverage for a single coat or does it include the second coat?

A:  Hi Jared, thanks for your inquiry. Good question. When you see square foot coverage on any coating, its usually indicating the spread rate for 1 coat. When applying two coats, a five gallon pail will do 1000-1,200 sqft. You usually get a little more distance on the second coat because the first coat will soak in more.

    A:  Hello, we do not recommend the Ultra sealer however you can use the Trac safe anti slip sealer instead.

      Q:If moisture isn?t a problem, can I seal an interior mural on a concrete wall with this? If so, will it also accept a flat acrylic water based topcoat over it? Thanks!

        A:  I used Hi-build Ultra on the exterior cement porch. Had to deal with water, ice,uvrays,freeze/thaw cycles, snow shovels-abrasion.The porch will need to reseal in2023. I called DAICH with my questions at 1-866-463-2424.  They were most helpful. I could not be more pleased with the result..no short cuts. Follow directions. Pricey- worth every penny.

          A:  Hi WallGuy, Yes, Hi-Build Ultra is a multi-purpose clear sealer you can use for floors and walls to effectively protect the treated surface. Since this is a mural you are wishing to coat, we recommend that you try it out first on a small area before covering the entire artwork, to ensure you are happy. Thanks!

            It seems to be great stuff. With the sealer on it is very nice. That is the good. The bad: it takes two coats and covers about 75% of what it claims. If you are covering any patterns from a previous finish, it might take 3 coats. I don't know if adding some tint would help. You should primer it to save material and a heavier build up in order to hide old contrasts. Two coats is the ideal build up. I would give it a 5 except the coverage area. The contrast problem was my rookie mistake.

            Used this on my pool deck after applying RollerRock warm gray cement paint. My deck was 20 yrs old. It looks better then new. I was concerned that sealing the deck would cause it to be hot from the sun beating down on it, but it's not. I used a regular paint roller and paint roller pan to apply it. I used about 3/4 of a gallon.
