Is it normal for this to lose pressure after a long period such as overnight? When I fill this with air on a gas line it shows virtually no leakage immediately but if I leave it sit for hours it does. Is this normal or do I have a leak? I have used a solution on all connections and no bubbles show anywhere.
Asked by: Nick
There is a leak somewhere in your system. Use a 100# test gauge, pressurize to 50-80#, and use bubbles rather than a solution to find leaks (I take a soapy solution in a plastic bottle, shake it, and squeeze the foam out of the top). Test the pipes--don't have appliances connected. Done right, you should be able to hold pressure indefinitely at 15#.

How exactly is it supposed to come apart? I'm trying to take it apart in order to tape the male threads, but it's been the biggest pain trying to get the gauge and schrader valve off.
Asked by: George
Thank you for your interest Danco products. Our Danco 0 - 15 psi 1/10 Increment Gas Test Gauge, product number 94352, is not meant to be taken apart. It is assembled with a thread lock adhesive and is the reason that it is not able to be taken apart. Also, removing or taking it apart would cause harm to the gauge and void the warranty.
