Eliminate erosion, prevent unwanted cracks and save money with this quick update. This tub spout is constructed from metal for strength and durability in your tub/shower. It comes complete with adapters, and pipe thread tape for an easy and seamless installation. The spout is compatible with 1/2 inch copper slip, 3/4 inch threading and 1/2 inch threading, and 1/2 inch nose threading. A:  Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. Danco model number 89265 is designed to fit 3/4 in. threaded pipe, 1/2 in. threaded copper pipe, and 1/2 in. copper pipe with no threads.

    A:  Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. Unfortunately, Danco model number 11079 will not fit on a Delta RP12307 adapter. However, Danco model number 10944 is designed to be used with a RP12307 adapter.

      Q:I have 3 and 3/4 inches of 3/4 inch male threaded pipe extending out of the wall in the tub/shower. Will this fit this configuration? The spout that I removed has 3/4 inch female fitting in the end of the spout where it attaches.

      A:  HOWDEE !! THIS SPOUT DOES NOT USE THE END THREADS TO SCREW/HOLD THE SPOUT IN PLACE. A SERIES OF O RINGS, SEALS AND PLASTIC...ALIGN/CENTER THE SPOUT... YOU PUSH IT IN PLACE AND SECURE IT WITH THE LOCKING RING IF YOU LOOK AT THE SPOUT..YOU WILL SEE THE U SHAPED OPENING ON THE BOTTOM..THIS IS WHERE THE SPOUT GETS SECURED. I USED A MIRROR. THERE ARE DIFFERENT ESCUCHEON /TRIM PLATES THAT MAY BE USED FOR ASTHETIC PURPOSES. THE INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS WERE CLEAR..AND WERE UNIVERSAL SO COVERED MANY APPLICATIONS. GET SOME SILICONE PLUMBERS LUBE TO SMOOTHE THE O RING/SEAL INSTALLATION. HOPE THIS HELPS...

          Do not buy! Wood floor damage due to leak.
          Poor quality of the tub spout caused a leak and water was getting inside the wall due to faulty diverter. I should have checked reviews and noticed that multiple other customers have experienced a similar issue. I spoke to a Home Depot manager and he said that they are not responsible. To contact manufacturer. Danco, the manufacturer, has written in their warranty that they are not responsible for damages. Lack of confidence in your products Danco?!? HD, please drop this vendor.

                  Unless you’re looking for a headache, avoid like the black-plague!!!
                  This is a piece of crap, pure and simple. Don’t get me wrong I like Danco products typically, but I’ve bought 3 of these over the years and always have the same results, “Why?!?!” The 2nd time I chalked it up to inexperience, figuring i would get it right with another try. No. The 3rd time was a matter of mistaken identity and a 10-year lull in which, I mistook one product for another. There is a Danco slip-fit spout with all of the pictured above guts already in place and it works fantastic. The one mentioned here is NOT IT. Home Depot does sell it, but apparently there’s no mention of it online. Stupid. It “should” work the same, so why the discrepency you ask? Because you have a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of getting the pieces to line up without stripping and chipping any of the plastic parts or marring your hardware. Its freaking maddening! Don’t waste your time and money, plain and simple.

                    Poor quality, installation instructions are not clear.
                    First of all, I agreed with Bill about the quality. I have a 1/2" pipe with 3/4" thread. I have no problem with removing the old spout with non-working diverter pull lever. The Extension Nipple is made of plastic. I would pay extra for metal. The Slide Adaptor (plastic) is hard to remove from the plastic Extension Nipple. I accidentally punched a hole through the Extension Nipple by the Slide Retainer Ring when I try to tighten the screw. I managed to turn and hand tighten the Extension Nipple. Then, water leaks probably through the hole. It looks good on the outside but poor quality inside. I will return it.

                      Easy to install. However, no mention is made of putting a bead of clear caulk around area where spout touches shower wall. Important to prevent water getting behind wall through pipe opening.

                      Worked as advertised. Make sure the set screw on the ring is tight before screwing the spout on. If faucet or shower is leaking its rhe cartridge behind the handle. Fix that first.

                      This tubspout caused a customer callback and I had to completely replace the copper stubout a second time. (1) I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product under any circumstance if you need a slip-on spout for a retrofit installation. The plastic adapter uses a phillips head screw rather than an allen setscrew which is industry standard, making this product exceptionally difficult to install in most tubs due to tight clearance between the spout and the tub. (2) The plastic adapter may leak - it did not establish a good seal with the copper stubout. For clarity, the stubout was replaced and deburred prior to installation. (3) This tub spout is ACCEPTABLE for use with an traditional threaded stubout (1/2" IPS)
