Yes. At double the price, $35 including taxes. Unfortunate they would not supply two additional Type A screws for the drain overflow plate. My previous one rusted.
There is an adjustment nut on the shaft. I didn't have to adjust mine. When I screwed it into the strainer, it was already set at the right height to keep the water from draining.
The strainer is the thing you are installing. The plug screws into the strainer. You will have to unscrew the plug to install the strainer. Then you screw the plug into the strainer. So, yes, the plug is removable. We leave it out unless we want to fill the bathtub with water. That way the plug doesn't get yucky and covered with funk.
