It should work
Thank you for choosing Danco products. The Danco #89205 Tub Spout Diverter Repair Kit will work for your application.
Will this work on a Kohler ?
It may work well, though the DANCO knob has a different profile from the Delta, you may wish to reuse the Delta if possible.
You slide the stem in the faucet to test fit. Then insert the washer in the plastic housing. Then pull the stem up and slide the plastic housing in the bottom of the faucet until it clicks on the stem.
We do carry this item in our Home Depot. Certain stores might not carry all items, depending on location and supply/ demand needs. 7/16/17
I have a Delta model from 2008. This one was not long enough to allow a full flow from the tub spout. I even had to use the original plastic piece because the new one was 1/16 inch thicker. I even tried filing down the sides to allow the plastic piece to slide into the channel to be able to plug the hole to divert the water to the shower head.
Change the gasket. You can order it online since they are not available in stores. Here is the link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/DANCO-Tub-Spout-Gasket-10538/204382986?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal2_rr-_-204838258-_-204382986-_-N Model # 10538 Internet #204382986 Price: $1.45 each Cheers
