A:  Thank you for your interest in Danco products and for your inquiry. If there is a drip from the tub spout when the show is supposed to be off, there is probably an issue with the shower cartridge/stem. Please feel free to contact Product support at 1-800-523-5135 Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST if further troubleshooting is needed.

          the product is defective
          Following the not-so-straight-forward directions, I got half way through the installation. I noticed the parts weren't lining up correctly to put the ring with the screw in place. I turned to you-tube and learned that several others had the same issue. It won't tighten all the way because the threads are 180 degrees off. This lose connection will allow the product to leak. I'm refunding. Bought a Delta product that requires a soldered piece, but am highly confident it won't leak.
