I know this is weird Question but for what I need to use it it’s important to know does the back of the main board(wall board)have finished look does it have holes all the way through for the shelves or it’s clean finished look like front but no holes?
The back does have predrilled holes for mounting.
What is the spacing between shelves?
There are 8.5" between the shelves.
How does the backboard mount to the wall? How many mount points does it have? Does it hang like a picture frame? Does it need to be screwed into a stud or can I use dry wall anchors?

Could this shelve be held up by command strips? Light items only will be placed on it.
We advise against using command strips. This shelf should be wall mounted according to the assembly instructions for best results and shelf support.
can this stand up on its own without being nailed to the wall?
No and I wouldn’t recommend that. It’s made for being nailed into the wall.
It could be leaned up against a wall yet that would defeat the ability to use the shelves. I don't think you could get it to stand upright without being secured in some way (nailed, strapped, or created a base) as the shelves make the front heavier than the back piece, so it would want to lean forward.
