Thank you for posting your inquiry. DAP Plastic Wood-X All-Purpose Latex Wood Filler can be used for minor cosmetic repairs on natural wood flooring. Areas that may be subject to abrasion/wear and or moisture must be protected with a surface coating, such as a high-quality polyurethane, that is "traffic rated" for flooring applications. As with any hard setting wood repair filler, it should not be applied to joints, seams, or other areas prone to movement. I used it on my basement steps for that exact purpose about 4 years ago, then immediately painted with floor paint. Cracks disappeared and no signs of wear so far.

As indicated on the product package label and supporting product literature: "Allow to dry thoroughly before sanding: approximately 2 to 6 hours for shallow fills up to 1/8” and 36 hours for deeper fills 1/4” and over. Sand with medium sandpaper. May be painted with latex-based paint immediately after sanding, or after 12 hours if using an oil-based paint. Exterior applications and applications subject to water exposure must be sealed with a waterproof coating. Exterior applications must be coated with latex or oil-based paint or solid color stain."
