A: This drill bit is not designed for masonry. It might make a little starter hole but the Masonry would make it dull very fast.
A: I used it to drill into steel to Mount cleats at a boat dock . The key is good torque on your drill and to use oil or some water to keep it cool. If you have lighter duty drill then do a pre drill to help with torque and pressure . But yes it was fine
A: For a splinter-free hole through a wood door, use a brad point bit. With metal, fiberglass or composite doors, use a standard bit.
