The key is always Cup of water to dip the tip every so many seconds AND a small spray bottle of water with a second person spraying the drill point constantly so not to prematurely wear out the dip. I drilled 16 holes into Porcelain and tile set and have plenty of use left on the tip.

Having no prior experience I would say they worked well....
Having no prior experience I would say they worked well. Each hole took about 4 to 5 minutes to complete. If they are not kept wet at all times they will dull in a matter of seconds.

Great for ceramic tile
I purchased this bit to install a shower door and some wire basket shelving in my shower. The bit cut reasonably quickly and the 'plugs' were easy to eject when I was done. I kept it lubricated with water, so heat build-up was not an issue. I also used it to remove some of the porcelain enamel coating on my shower base so I could drill holes in the cast iron for my shower door. It worked great for that as well.
