Not sure what happened to these since the last boxes I bought. They have always been just like the picture, gold colored with an obvious glue coat. The new ones in stores and the ones I was shipped are no longer gold colored and look like they have no glue on them, just shiny silver colored. The picture still shows gold color on both this website and the actual Dewalt website. I hope it's just a color change and not a deletion of the glue coat.

I purchase the 1 1/2” staples with the hope they would hold the subfloor down as you can see they suck! The staples should have been ringed or barbed, for superior grip into the wood subfloor. The only one’s that held were the one’s that went into the joists. Time to redo my floors again.

I have stapled 3/4 CDX, 1/2 AC, 1/4 ShurPly and found the staples did amazingly in all three plywoods. One day I used several thousand staples without any misfires. Staples recessed perfectly every time. They exceeded my expectations. Gotta love it.
