Maximized for accuracy and capacity this 8-1/4 in. table saw includes on-board storage for blade guard assembly, non-through cut riving knife, anti-kickback pawls, blade change wrenches, miter-Gauge and push stick. The powerful DEWALT 15 Amp, 5800 RPM motor allows users to complete a majority of applications. The rack and pinion fence allow for fast, easy adjustments and provides the capacity to rip 4x8 sheet goods. The DEWALT DW7440RS Rolling Table Saw Stand has a lightweight design, weighing only 33 lbs. The heavy-duty kickstand allows the stand to balance upright for mobility and storage. Folding legs with quick release levers collapse under the stand, minimizing overall size for transport and storage. The retractable soft grip handle allows the user to pull the stand behind them comfortably with the weight of the saw near the ground. The quick connect stand brackets attached to the saw for easy detachment from the stand for loading and unloading. The DW7440RS includes: stand and quick connect stand brackets.

A: Yes, you can leave the saw attached and collapse the stand for storage. When collapsed you can roll the saw and stand where ever you want.

A: Yes you can leave it attached for storage. I do in my garage. I have never moved mine to different work sites but I don't think it would be an issue as long as it is secured tight to the wall.

A: I am using this stand with my 7845. You will need to remove the rubber feet and either get shorter bolts, 1/2” spacer, or drill a hole so the bolts in the kit will work.

A: The stand was approved by UL for use with the DW744 and DW745. The stand will work with most, but not all, other portable table saws. We do not have a listing of what brands or models of other table saws that this stand will accommodate.

Excellent stand for table saw.

Received very quickly ship to home. Easy to set up and attach saw. My old craftmans saw fit perfectly. Took maybe 20 minutes and i was ready to cut wood.

Saw & stand not designed to fit together

Saw 5/5 Stand 4/5 (did not sit flat in upright position). Interface 1/5 Instructions 1/5 2 mount options 1. Holes in frame bar are drilled on angle to align w/ X-stand DW7451 so cannot mount to x-braces of DW7440RS. 2. Through feet (mods req.): The plastic feet cannot bear tension & split apart when bolts tightened. Purchased new bolts (full thread 45mm M8 1.25 $9). Place washer/nut either size of x-brace then screw bolt into foot. Tighten nut to x-brace allowing saw to "float" (see pics).

Works great until you need to change the blade

Has no blade lock, so you need 2 wrenches to change the blade. Would be no big deal except one side is so narrow a wrench won't fit. Such a wrench was supposed to me included but was not. So I have to order a $14 wrench and my project must wait 4 days until it arrives.

I got this for my son down in New Orleans.....

I got this for my son down in New Orleans.. He likes woodworking creatively thinking of tables & fine wall art. I give him tools he may need this was one of them. He loved it as he used a skill saw to rip what he was making.. I ordered it online from SC to a Depo store down there and picked it up 2 hrs latter.. Eyes and ears son.. have fun..

Cuts accurately

This is the only table saw I ever owned. I'm recycling redwood lumber and needed just to clean up the sides of a 3 ft 2 x 4 so I cut off a thin slice. I measured it with calipers and found it to be .029-.032 along a 3 ft piece. Not bad!

Great setup

8&1/4 saw itself has everything I was looking for; great power, clean cuts & not oversized.Compared to the 10” Dewalt which was an overkill for the trim & occasionally plywood rip I mostly do. I also bought the stand that goes with the saw. Upon assembly the directions fail to tell you to mount the stand to the pre drilled hex holes underthe rubber feet, which led some people to mount to a piece of plywood. See pictures-hope this helps.

A very good stand! I was worried about how hard...

A very good stand! I was worried about how hard it would be to tilt everything to the vertical position and to my surprise was very easy. There was NOT that "point of no return feeling" where it flips forward at all. I added a nice plywood frame so that my saw was supported all the way around. The price was better than most places.
