Q:The specifications say the Minimum Recommended Air Delivery SCFM @ 90PSI is 3.7 SCFM but there are several responses to questions from DeWaltProductExpert stating compressors that deliver 2.6 SCFM at 90 PSI will work with this tool. Which is correct?

    Answer This Question

A:  A Pro would want to follow the 3.7 SCFM. A DIY person might be fine with less capacity. Why? The cubic feet of air per minute depends on how fast you are nailing. Pros tend to fly along the edge quickly using more air each minute.

    by|Mar 3, 2024

A:  The recommended air pressure is 70 to 100 psi / 3.7 scfm at 90 psi is what we recommend.

Q:Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced air compressor that will work sufficiently with this flooring tool? I’m not looking to pay out the nose. I saw mention of 340 cubic feet at 100 PSI for 60 nails per minute. I don’t see myself going beyond maybe 10 nails per minute. Buying this just to install hardwood floors in my home and I’ll be working this project alone, so I can’t see using beyond maybe 10 nails per minute. Thank you

stapler has worked but hammer broke after 20sqft
mallet is wobbly and crushed after using to install 20sqft of flooring over 2 rows. I need return the whole thing or see if they can send a new mallet

I'm 60 and weight 143 lbs. Seriously? Is that allegedly aluminum? Half-way through a small 320 sq ft installation of 3/4" garbage that Home Depot passes off as, "flooring". Literally nothing left that I would trust getting at Home Depot. Done. Out.

Great floor nailer, quality Dewalt tool. Worked perfectly, hardly a miss fire, and if it miss fired it was my mistake. Floor was nice and tight, nice professional look after using this nailer. Great time saver. Highly recommend using this nailer.

                My every day hardwood nailer.
I use this nailer every day for installing hardwood flooring of all types. It is a great value, and I only have a few complaints. The overall width from front to back is a little too much. It's hard to get in close to the walls, and off the first couple rows. Also, the rack for the cleats could hold them a little better without slipping. Having said that, for the money this is a GREAT flooring nailer. Compared to the standard nailers at twice the cost, I am thinking of getting another one. I use cleats not staples, and this nailer works every single day in a professional capacity. I like it a lot.

No jamming - got the job done - pay a bit more for far better quality and it was worth it because the job went smoothly

Good quality, strong flooring nailer. Nice accessory kit. Worked well nailing 2” cleats into 3/4” white oak flooring. My first time using a floor nailer. Line it up and give it a swift tap with the mallet. I hit it too lightly in a few tight areas which caused a jam. Easy to clear with an Allen wrench. Not an issue once I corrected my form.
