I've had my eye on this project for some time now. The main reason for purchasing it is so I can clean off my lawn mower and other garden equipment out in my backyard. I do not have electric in my shed but I can pull out the garden hose. It does a pretty good job of cleaning things off, it really cleaned off the grease/dirt on the engine on my riding lawn mower. I also used it (with the 15-degree attachment) to clean the years of dirt off the top of the fuel tank on the mower. I thought the plastic was just discolored like plastic gets. It did a great job to where I can now see how much gas is in it. While it does have 550 PSI of pressure on high just remember it's only pulling one gallon per minute, so it doesn't have the volume of water to blast things like the grass build up off of my mower deck. I can get a better job done by using the garden hose with a spray nozzle. But it still does really good job of cleaning everything else up, like the greasiness on the motor. I did an experiment on the front concrete porch of my house that was extremely dirty from years of buildup. It cleaned the dirt off without even using soap. I ran out of battery so I need to go over it the second time. I can see where this would come in handy for somebody that doesn't have water close by. They could carry a couple buckets and just use the siphoning attachment to clean something off. I can also see this being good at a marina. For me it seems like a good product. Don’t think it’s going to do the job of a 3000-psi electric or gas unit at this price.

First of all, I thought that this was supposed to be "tool only." When I opened up the box, though, there was a nice surprise...A 5Ah battery and charger! Maybe they sent me the wrong unit? Not complaining, just surprised. I had some spare DeWalt batteries that I could have used, but glad I now have one more. The box contained all of the accessories you will need to do any cleaning project. You can hook the cleaner up to the garden hose, hook up the plastic hose and use a bucket of water/soap, or use the soap bottle if you want a more concentrated mix. Out of the box, I decided to clean my car. No problems there. I hooked the cleaner up to the hose and washed off the dirt. Next, I switched to the plastic hose and fed it into a bucket with a mixture of soap/water. After the car had been thoroughly covered with soap, I switched back to the hose and sprayed off the soap. There are a lot of moving parts with this power cleaner, so I am happy that they threw in a mesh bag. Keeps everything neat and gives the wet parts (like the filters) a chance to dry off. The only minor complaint I have with DeWalt is their instruction manual. The illustrations are very well done, but the explanations are a few pages back. I wish that they would have the explanations accompany the illustrations so you can reference what they are talking about. As always, I reverted to watching YouTube and got what I needed to assemble/use the power cleaner. Next up...window cleaning!

This is a fine-looking tool that appears to be very well made. Why, then, only one star? I was deeply disappointed. Looks promise quality that simply does not turn overall into a working product. This item is listed is 'Tool only'. That is not an issue, as I have substantially standardized on DeWalt tools, so I have accumulated an adequate number of batteries as well as both a regular and a fast charger. Included in the box, clearly marked with 'Tool Only', was both a battery and a charger. Why? The way the tool was packaged in the box cries out 'Returned Item'. After installing the battery and trying the tool 'dry', water shot out everywhere. Any time I receive an item in that condition it would get returned post-haste. The manual is a not-too-good production that appears not to have been checked for consistency. Number labels are quite confused. The list on the first page is out by one from numbers 7 - 18, with the description for #7 actually on #8, and so on. On succeeding pages references are mostly to the corrected labels from page 1, but there are also some incorrect number tags, especially #88 which should be #5, and references to the original #7 on page 1. The various parts are well-made and interconnect without issues, showing good engineering. There are four nozzles for different applications from "delicate surfaces" to "the toughest cleaning tasks". In spite of the manual, I did eventually get it all connected and functional. Regarding performance... The tool did not fair any better at removing moss from retaining wall blocks than my 110 PSI garden hose. Both easily removed bird poop, but not the moss.

This is a good, consumer grade, pressure washer. Remember that this version of the pressure washer is a tool only version. If you already have the Dewalt 20 volt or 60 volt batteries you will be fine. If not, look at the price of batteries before you buy. That disclaimer out of the way, it is a good pressure washer for washing your cars, cleaning the winter grime off your deck in the spring or spraying the mud off your UTV. It comes with several heads, a soap applicator, and an extended hose. Some cool features are that it has holding spots for the different tips in the top of the gun. The receiver for the tips is a quick connect tip so it is easy and quick to change tips. The nozzle uses a bayonett mount so it is really eacy to switch between the soap tip and the sprayer. Remember that thjis is a 550 PSI sprayer so you will not be peeling the paint of your house or powering oil out of a driveway. It will do a great job removing bugs from your car and was great for cleaning my UTV. I new that when I got it so I am very happy with it. My only real wish is that I wish they had used brass connectors to connect the hose instead of plastic.

This is a handy pressure washer in that you don't have to lug around a base like you would with some other pressure washers. It's about ten to fifteen pounds to carry so keep that in mind. It does come with instructions and it's easy to use. There is an attachment hose for your water source and it comes with a battery and a charger which makes it easier to move around to complete your job. It also comes with different types of tips to fit whatever your needs might be.

I love the DeWalt Brand tools, and this is an excellent light to medium duty power cleaner for residential use. It won’t do the heavy cleaning of a larger power washer as it operates at a maximum 550PSI but, its advantage is that it is truly a portable power cleaner weighing less than 5 lbs. It can draw from any fresh water source like a 5 gallon bucket, with an included 20’ suction hose, where a garden hose is not available. Or it can also be hooked up to your garden hose. It has quick connects for either. With 4 nozzles and a soap bottle, its versatility in projects is great. The nozzles store on the unit for easy use. And, it is battery powered. It has a high and low speed setting for more battery life or for more cleaning power. This fills the gap between the hose with a nozzle and a power washer. It was excellent cleaning the siding only house and I think it would do a great job cleaning screens and windows. I was able to remove light dirt on outdoor furniture and on the driveway easily. It’s quicker than getting out the gas power washer, and with its electronic ignition, you’re not limited on distance. It would be a great tool to use at remote locations where power or a hose is not available. With the soap bottle and the selection of nozzles, it is great for car washing too. No assembly required and has a 3 Year limited warranty and 1 year free service.

This did more muscle work than I expected. As it clearly points out this is a “Power Cleaner” not a Pressure Washer and I didn’t get it to be. It outputs 550 max PSI vs my electric Pressure Washer which is @ a moderate 2000 PSI. This is a great tool to bridge the gap between that and regular hose pressure. I got this to do small jobs like cleaning screens & windows, light dirt on patio and outdoor furniture without needing to breakout the pressure washer. It works well for these tasks. It’s about half the price of an electric one that will generate at least 4x the pressure. Just for the heck of it I to get the ground in dirt on the concrete driveway, that’s a power washer job. I was more than surprised at how well it did. I was able to use either FLEXVOLT 60V 9Ah or my MAX XR 20V 5Ah battery (see pix). I tested the gpm using the 15° tip and low speed it took 10min 15 seconds to empty a 5 gallon bucket. If DeWalt reads this, here are 2 suggestions; The soap bottle needs a dial to regulate output. With the attachable soap bottle I figure I can add some organic pest control concentrate and spray my garden from a distance with a quick general application. And #2 your battery chargers should show a green light when fully charged not a steady red light.

Great handy tool for doing some basic low pressure cleaning(550psi) on most surfaces that is handheld and uses a Dewalt battery. Out of the box it is easy to use and there was a small learning curve to become familiar with it. I tried using it on a variety of surfaces-I washed my truck, cleaned my driveway,a concrete pathway and paver bricks that edge some stones. It cleaned all the surfaces well but don’t expect the same type of pressure cleaning as a gas or electric powered one. That being said it works well for a battery powered washer/cleaner(and to be honest I prefer a lower pressure especially on autos and my paver driveway as to not loosen the polymetric sand per the installer). It comes with some very useful accessories such as a soap bottle,a suction line feed to use with a bucket, long wand and 4 spray heads including a turbo nozzle which did blast away some dirt/mold from outdoor pavers. It has holes on top to store the spray nozzles and the battery is covered by a plastic housing. There is a high/low power switch and a safety trigger that you depress to activate the unit.It can be a little heavy depending on the battery you use( I used a heavier longer lasting Dewalt battery that I already had) but it didn’t become burdensome. I like that I won’t have to always bring out my larger power washer for smaller jobs and it stores easily in a tool draw(or keep the original box for storage). Overall, although the psi is NOT strong,it works very well for what it is-a battery power washer that is much more effective than using a garden hose and does remove a good deal of dirt, mold etc. from many hard surfaces.

Im kinda mixed on this one. While i am and have been a user of dewalt tools for 20 plus years. This one put me in the middle. If you are looking for something to wash pollen and dust off your house. Patio. Or lawn furniture. Its absolutely awesome. It sure beats dragging around two heavy hoses and a machine. It will take some mud stains off concrete as well. Its been a couple months since i did my patio with my large pressure washer so the stains weren't set to bad. Still isn't bad for a battery powered pressure washer. Like i said. Im kinda middle of the road on this one. If your loyal to the brand its a deal for ya. If you need something to take dried mud off your atv. Or grease off your bbq. It isnt designed for. nor will it do that. A plus is you can use a bucket or put the supplied quick hose attachment on to use with your garden hose. It does have a lot of pluses for sure.

Be careful when purchasing this battery. I purchased with the Dewalt DCD791P1 (Brushless XR 20v drill/driver). This battery was listed on HD's site as option. The battery has the same model number as the battery that came with the drill, but did not seat properly on the charger and lock in place. The pin design on this battery was different than the battery that came with the drill. It would not charge at all because the design differences. Date codes on both drill battery and this battery were both 2020. The drill battery has a set of 6 independent slots for the pins in the middle (picture). The battery that HD had for this one has 5 taller slots like the 2 outer ones in my picture. Another indicator is the black piece in the grooved area. Battery supplied with drill is as shown, but the battery I received was all yellow.
