Will the DeWalt 60 volt flexvolt battery slide in and fit this fan?

Will the DeWalt 60 volt flexvolt battery slide in and fit this fan?
Asked by: HDT1980
Dewalt says no... lol! Yes you can use a flex volt battery up to the 9ah. The bigger batteries won't fit properly.

Will it charge a battery if plugged into a/c?

Asked by: Joe
The short answer is NO. When using a cord to power the fan it blocks the ability to install a battery. So it's an either or situation. Use a battery or plug it in using an extension cord.

being a cordless fan how is it charged/recharged?

being a cordless fan how is it charged/recharged?
Asked by: Julie
You can use a standard extension cord to run the fan. It has NO internal battery. You must purchase Dewalt batteries and charge them before using them in the fan if you want it to be cordless. It's a work area type fan for use with the Dewalt line of batteries. Both Flexvolt(up to 9ah) and the standard 20v can be used.

20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless and Corded Jobsite Fan (Tool-Only) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 135.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great idea. Could be better. I love the idea behind this fan and actually pretty good, but the only down side to this fan is it that it does not have that strong of force behind it. I build yachts for my career and I feel like this fan is only effective in small tight places. I truly wish it had more force behind the air flow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fan I own two of these fans ... well worth the price. would recommend 4 or 5 Ah batteries - will run 7 to 9 hours on these batteries in high.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed At home trying this fan out I thought it would be good to have @ work. I'm a Jouneyman welder in tool & die dept. I figured this would be nice working on Dies or in a press. In a small area or confined space the fan is ideal, out in the open not so much unless its 'very' close. I got about 4hrs on the included battey in high. A Co-worker has the Milwaukee fan and it seems to put a a stronger stream of air, whether it's more concentrated or more powerful it seems better. I also notice the blades seem to flex on high in the DeWalt, you can dial the speed down & watch the blade smooth out. Overall it's a good value but I don't think it's what you're looking for in an industrial setting.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't blow enough air to be worth it I use it mainly as a fan beside me as I sleep but it's no where near powerful enough to be use while I'm working and I'm past 6 ft it either a flexvolt verison or a high velocity would be great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great fan for the right situation When reviewers hail the value of this fan for their tent experience or to work in a hot attic, I believe they are on perfect target for this fan. However when I tested it in my open workshop seeking some air movement around me, I found its value seriously diminishes when standing, say, more than three or four feet from the front of it. The air movement from this fan is like a narrow flash light beam of only a hundred lumens. There is light but not much of it. So, confined space, five stars. Open space, one star. Therefore, I had to return it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Lasts most of a day with a 6hr 20v batt running at half to full speed. Decent air volume movement. The swiveling head & built in hanging hooks are very convenient. Would be nice if you could plug it in while a battery is inserted to be able to use the fan and charge a battery simultaneously. However, if this or any other Dewalt tool of mine needs repairs it is better to fix it yourself rather than trust the local Dewalt service center.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cordless Fan! I bought this fan for when my wife and I are at dog shows to keep our dogs cool. The 20V Max battery option will be great for when we are at outdoor dog shows or when AC is not available for indoor shows either because there is no AC plug near us or the outlet is already in use.
