Its 22 in. hardened-steel, laser-cut blades are engineered for clean, fast cuts on branches up to 1 in. thick. The 7-position 180° articulating head allows you to customize cutting angles for hedges of any shape and size.

Do they sell just a 20v pole for this or do you have to but the chain saw and switch it out?

AnswersI already owned the chain saw and since it detaches and can be used with the hedger, I made the purchase and it worked fine, just match up the power pole number with the hedger.
Will this work like a regular hedge trimmer without the pole?

AnswersYes. I did exactly that. I purchased the pole saw earlier this year. When the hedge trimmer came out I just bought the head. Hooks right up. However, you should read my review of the head before you buy. Check one out at the store before you buy if possible.
