You could, but remember, with finishing nails, there's no head. And it's a bit heavy. The 20v framing nailer is what you need. I have both and really like them. Great for small jobs. For bigger jobs, you need air tools.

If the material allows you to shoot the finish nails in the tongue area then yes. Otherwise, a brad or pin nailer might work better for your application since brad or pin nails come in thinner sizes so they are better for delicate materials and you would less likely having to fill the nail holes. With finish nails, you might have to fill the nail holes since they are thicker.
There is also an adapter - DCA1820. It allows the use of 20V MAX* lithium Ion batteries in most 18V DEWALT tools.
