can the water supply be standing water like in a pool

      Answer This Question

The water supply would not be standing water. It would be strictly cold tap water.

Yes, in theory, although I did not try with untreated water. This product comes with a suction hose for freshwater (if not saltwater). The hose comes with a removable filter so that you can clean it after use.

The information online is correct. Keep in mind that with DeWalt Flexvolt, you have two ratings. When using a DeWalt FlexVolt battery with a 20V tool, you have a higher Ah rating. When using it with a 60V FlexVolt tool, the lower rating takes over. The packs don’t change in terms of capacity—just how we refer to them when testing apples-to-apples: FlexVolt 60V/2Ah = 20V/6Ah FlexVolt 60V/3Ah = 20V/9Ah DeWalt FlexVolt 60V/4Ah = 20V/12Ah DeWalt FlexVolt 60V/5Ah = 20V/15Ah

This is a kit, so it comes with the batteries. There is no bare tool option (no batteries included) at this time. You will want these big 12Ah batteries anyways, especially since they sell as high as $329 a piece separately.

No need for power outlet or water faucet, strong like an electric pressure washer
This is a powerful pressure washer and it is so convenient you can get that boost from a battery operated machine. You don’t need a power outlet or a faucet to connect to. If you are on a boat, you can clean anything using the batteries and the 10 ft suction hose, drawing water from a bucket or a lake. It is comparable to an electric one I have with 2200 PSI. This one is 1600 PSI, but I can barely tell any difference. I use it around the house for DIY tasks, to wash the cars, clean outdoor furniture, and spray off the driveway. The high, low, and boost settings give you a few options for strength and there is some observable difference between them as well. To clean anything on the concrete, high and boost options were the best. They draw a lot more power but the 12 ah batteries are large enough to run about 40-50 minutes for me. The batteries also charge quickly with the included fast chargers. It took about 4-5 hours for me to come to full capacity. It also comes with turbo, 15 deg, 25 deg, and 40 deg nozzles. I used 25 deg on the cars and furniture and 15 deg on the concrete, and they perfectly did the job. I love the fact that the body of the washer tidies up everything with the storage within. There is no hose or cable to trip on in the garage. The hoses, nozzles, gun, and foam cannon are all neatly packed. It also has a small footprint and can be stored without taking up a lot of important real estate. I used it a few times and did not observe any leaks in the connections. The batteries are also well protected in a sealed space. The tool is fun to use and doesn’t make a lot of noise. I was able to use it without ear protection or earbuds. Overall, I absolutely love this pressure washer and hope to use it for many years to come.

This is actually really fun to use.
Awesome machine! The portability of this pressure washer is a huge asset. No gas no electric plug just the 2 really powerful batteries that come with the washer. There is nothing complicated to putting the various hose and wand pieces together, so it is basically a battery charge away from using right out of the box. I used it to start cleaning my bricke paver patio and it worked great. The black soot coating on the bricks (I think its from the Oak trees) was removed easily by the pressure from this machine. This pressure washer is well designed, portable, easy to use and effective for my needs.

This is a niche product...you are essentially paying for batteries
With a power washer, I seasonally clean the exterior of the house, driveway, porch, deck, windows, cars, small pet cage liners, and everything in-between. It's the single most valuable tool I ever owned since I became a homeowner. As a pressure washer aficionado and a staunch advocate, I naturally had very high expectations for this new product. Unfortunately, they were not met. I start with strengths. Its design is incredibly well and clever. There are storage compartments for all the attachments and accessories. I liked the telescope carrying handle, too. It has three pressure settings to accommodate various needs: low (1,000 PSI), high (1,200 PSI), and boost (1,600 PSI). It comes with two pairs of batteries and chargers. If you already own an arsenal of Dewalt power tools or plan to build one, this would be a big plus. It can even run on standing water, such as water in a bucket, through a suction hose. It worked pretty well with seemingly full 1.2 GPM and pressure. The biggest weakness is also the batteries. They made this model unexceptionally bulky and heavy for a light-duty pressure washer (with two batteries, 37.5 lbs., more than twice heavier than my corded 1,800-PSI model). In fact, the dimension and weight are those of a heavy-duty model. The batteries can last up to an hour, long enough to clean my porch (15 sq.ft.), if not the driveway (500 sq.ft.) or both of my cars. Then I needed to recharge the batteries for more than 3 hours to finish the jobs. To conserve the batteries, the boost mode shuts off automatically after 10 minutes. I wish it had come with an option to run on regular AC power. It could run untethered, but only if I manage to transport water. 4 gallons of water lasted less than 4 minutes. All in all, this model could be an ideal and unique solution if you need to clean a boat in a lake or need a couple of Dewalt high-capacity (20V/12AH) batteries anyways. For all the other applications, however, a corded light-duty model can do the same or even better job with a fraction of the cost of this product.

                Mobile and High Powered
The DeWalt 2x20V Pressure Washer is fantastic. If you’re looking for a power, yet mobile pressure washing system, this is probably what you’re wanting. It runs up to 1600psi, but it also has a “boost” mode that runs for a short period to give you a little extra power when you need it. The machine runs on either low or high power and is turned on by pressing a switch in either direction. The assembly from stored to using the machine takes about 2 minutes once you get the hang of what you’re doing. The biggest advantage of buying this machine is the mobility. It operated like a carry-on luggage with its telescopic up handle and easy to pull wheel design. Next, this machine comes with 2 flexvolt batteries, and I was surprised that they were both 12ah. It also comes with two 4-amp chargers. If you are familiar with DeWalt flexvolt batteries and chargers, you might need to do a second glance when you consider how much value that is right there. At first, I was excited that it came with a foam cannon, but that quickly became my first detractor to the machine. The foam cannon might seem fine to anyone that has never used one, but DeWalt could have taken some more attention to create a better nozzle. It mixes the soap into the water, but it doesn’t create a foam layer like they are designed to do. Fortunately, you can use a foam cannon from other brands with this machine. Another issue I had was the nozzle tips are stored into the handle of the gun and they do not seem to stay in the handle when you’re walking around using the machine. I finished using the 25 degree tip only to look down and see the other two provided tips had fallen out at some point and I had to retrace my steps and search for them. Another thing I was curious about was how loud the machine would be while using it. It’s a little loud but not more than any other high pressured washing machine out there. I thought having the batteries would make it quieter but it’s as loud as some of my gas-powered machines. The last negative I have with the machine is the hose line that comes with it. The connectors were fine and better than others I’ve used but the hose itself was very hard and kept wanting to coil back up while using it. Overall, it is a great machine. I love being able to whip it out and use it without having to put a lot of effort into the setup. I love how everything gets stored on or inside the unit and you only worry about a water source to get started.

                DeWALT Pressure Washer
This 1600 PSI cold-water pressure washer (manufactured by DeWalt) looks like it is well-engineered. I specifically liked the accessory management for storage. The front does a great job of managing the pressure hoses. It has velco strips for coiling the hoses. BONUS: this pressure washer has a solid plastic belt across the front to pull the hoses close to the body. On top is a compartment to hold the hose handle, the extension rods and pressure tips. It uses two batteries and comes with two battery chargers. The pressure washer is heavy, but the two large wheels give it plenty of mobility. Assembly for each specific task is an easy DIY ~ and that too meets expectations for products selected by Home Depot.

                Extremely well thought out design!!
Dewalt is such a reputable brand that The overall performance of the pressure washer is as expected. It does a great job of washing whatever it is you are doing. I wanted to focus more on the overall design which I think Dewalt did a great job of doing. The washer itself is on wheels which makes for easy transport, but the overall weight of the pressure washer with the batteries, at least for me, is not that heavy. You have the ability to store the hoses, and spraying wands and tips and trigger all on board, making for very easy storing. It's very easy to stay organized with these washer which I think is great. The trigger has onboard storage for different tips. Again performance is great, design is even better!!

Excellent pressure washer, few frustrating design issues
You know that frustrating feeling when someone gets so close to the mark but just barely misses it... I get that vibe from this pressure washer. First, the positive... it's got good pressure for all of your household chores and packs up nicely into a wheeled and self contained unit. I'm not sure I would do heavy concrete stain cleanup with this but I will absolutely be using it for light concrete washing, car washes, and clearing the seasonal mildew off the siding. Battery power is surprisingly good, I washed the driveway for at least 5 minutes and both battery packs showed 3/3 bars. I absolutely LOVE the water input hose... you can use ANY clean water source, it doesn't have to be a garden hose. I have a multi-acre property and this gives me the flexibility to throw the battery powered washer and a drum of water on the back of my UTV and wash anything anywhere... what an absolute game changer - every pressure washer should have that feature! It has a built in soap foamer, handy and secure storage for all of those little tips that everyone loses, and a nice hose organizer built right into the front. It packs and folds into itself as a self contained unit and can be wheeled around like a suitcase. If I love it so much, why 4 stars instead of 5? Because you will quickly find yourself using it for all kinds of things and lugging the batteries back and forth to get charged are a real pain... especially when you may have a power source right next to you. After an afternoon of using it I started wishing they had just included a power cord and made it "dual power source" so I could use it plugged in or unplugged (or alternatively, fully battery powered but with a built in charger). My other frustration was that the gun has to be completely broken down and stored away inside the unit... as in, remove nozzle from extension piece, unscrew extension from grip piece, unscre grip piece from trigger piece, pack it all away. It's tedious and gets old after the first half dozen times. I wish they would have given us something on the external case to holster the gun into. I tried to make it work with the large open spaces (see pictures) but the gun flops around and slides out as soon as you start wheeling the unit around. Are either of them huge issues that would stop me from getting or recommending this item... absolutely not. They're just very frustrating and annoying when you consider how much amazing design and engineering work went into this.

Heavy duty! Truly off grid solution.
This thing is sleek. I love how everything fits in a compact manageable package. The 12amp hr batteries are great and it comes with a hose to siphon water out of buckets and other water sources. Easy to move around and runs quietly. It has all of the various degree spray heads conveniently connected to the sprayer. Whoever designed this product seemed to really know multiple pain points people feel when power washing. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

                Wow. Super useful
This is probably the best solution for the DIY homeowner for a power washer. By his design any power washer is going to have a cord or hose coming from it. For non combustion engine models this eliminates the power cord without compromising power. This uses two Dewalt flex volt batteries. Technically it's 20 volt but the flexible batteries are also good for 60 volts. Need to use at least a 9 amp hour battery. This kit comes with two 12 amp hour batteries. I used it for about 30 minutes and so had two bars left in both batteries. It's all self-contained. The hose connects to the front with a convenient latching bar to keep it from swinging around. The trigger tips and extensions all fit inside the top. There's also a soap dispenser attachment which fits in the bottom. They also give you a supply hose if you want to draw out of a bucket or other water source. Using it was really simple. It's got instructions stamped on the back. I didn't even look at the manual. The only hiccup I had once it didn't start right away but I think I didn't put the batteries in the right sequence. Just pop the batteries out and back in and it worked right away. It's super powerful. One caveat. This is not for a professional. Unless you are just doing a very small job. You're not going to get away with using this thing 8 hours a day. It would eat too many batteries. Being a little bit older I really appreciate not having to pull on a starter cord for a gas engine. I'm very impressed and very happy.

No Cord, No Gasoline, Plenty of Power -- Love It
I have always wanted a pressure washer, but I did not want to deal with a noisy, smelly gasoline engine and I did not want to fool with an electric cord. I tried another brand of cordless power washer, but it was under-powered and had a run-time of about 15 minutes. This DeWalt pressure washer is just what I was waiting for. It has plenty of power for my needs, it runs on two batteries for about one hour, and it is easy to move around. There is no assembly required, and the connections are easy. The nozzles are stored right on the handle grip. There is a handy compartment for storing the handle grip, the spray wand, the spray handle, and the turbo nozzle. The pressure hose and the suction hose (for spraying from a bucket or any other container) are also stored on the unit. A foam cannon is included for cleaning siding, cars, etc. The pressure washer comes with two 60-volt batteries, both of which are needed to use the washer. A couple of extra batteries would be nice to have, but they are expensive. I tested the power washer on my front sidewalk, which was dirty and stained. I needed to use the strongest nozzle to clean the sidewalk, but it worked great (as you can see in one of the photos I attached). My only concern is that my wife will make me keep everything spotless now. This is a great pressure washer.
