A:  I wouldn't leave anything electrical out in the weather. That might be a question for the manufacturer.

A:  Hi Conn. The DCL079B has an IP-55 rating for weather and dust resistance, however it is not recommended to leave the light out in the rain.

A:  1st stage 3,000 lumens, 2nd stage 1800 lumens. Battery run time may vary depending upon factors including but not limited to charging conditions, usage of tool, storage, environmental conditions, age, etc. Because of these factors, DEWALT is unable to provide a run time. A:  My old 6ah batteries last more than 2 hours on the brightest setting.  I haven't tracked battery life on other settings.  Of note, the light will go into a brief flashing mode several times before total light shutdown.  I got to appreciate this feature first hand when I got the flashing light and was able to egress the job site before the battery expired and darkness came.

A:  With DCB206 battery, low brightness setting, the light can run over 11 hours of runtime. A:  I use a 10ah battery and it lasts exactly 7 hours on the high setting. So do the math.

A:  Never timed it, optimal conditions id guess maybe 2-3 hours, but it would also depend if you running hi/med/lo. It does flash ahead of time to warn you it's gonna die of course that lead time seems to vary depending on battery size.

A:  Battery life is highly dependent on a bunch of factors, some under your control some not. The biggest item is of course the brightness setting (if you don't need max brightness to do whatever you're doing then turn it down and you get a pretty significant boost in runtime. The other very large factor is ambient temperature. I have mostly used this in the winter to chainsaw trees that come down on the farm, and run time when its below freezing is about 60% of summer run times. Even in the coldest days I get several hours of run time with a battery of that size, if I turn it to one step below brightest.

A:  I got over 6 hours with my old DCB204 4Ah XR lithium ion on the dimmest setting. Only used the light once so far though. The DCB615 15AH Flexvolt will not fit in the light at all.
