Great saw, it does everything I needed it to do. I only have one complaint. It doesn't blow the sawn dust away. That's not cause for me to return it, I'm not going to be using on a daily basis. Just something to consider if you're interested in purchasing it.

Strong, Powerful & Robust jigsaw
This jigsaw has the power to cut through any solid wood, or plastic and metal tubing up to 2". It's a heavy unit compared to most others so with thicker or harder cuts it's very stable and controllable. The size makes it less nimble than some of it's counterparts and the handle is high away from your work for smaller precise corners and round cuts. That said, it can easily cut wet pressure treated lumbers and thicker wall tubing. Lots of little features worth reading the manual for. The 4 orbital action positions change the performance, speed and amount of tearout in the cut, and the dust blower is a superb feature when adjusted properly.

Never buy a corded tool again
I’m not surprised how good the jigsaw is. I bought Dewalt for a reason.
I just built a pergola and the jigsaw was my main tool. Cutting through 2x8 boards very easily.
I will never buy a corded tool ever again. The battery lasted over 2hrs of cutting.

Very Powerful
I was renovating my sister in laws basement. We were down to cutting the countertop to install the sink. My old jigsaw, (not a dewalt) crapped out on me. I already owned the Dewalt 20v Max DR impact driver and the 20v Max compact drill kit, so buying this was a no brainer. I was blown away by the power this saw has. We finished the job in no time.

I am, generally speaking a DeWalt fan, owning several of their products. My Bosch jigsaw recently...
I am, generally speaking a DeWalt fan, owning several of their products. My Bosch jigsaw recently failed because of a poorly designed blade holder, so I bought this Dewalt hoping to improve my luck. My luck didn't change.
I have to join the chorus of those mentioning the "blades fall out" after an inch or two of movement. ( I am using the "t-shank" jig saw blades.)
I think this is a design failure too, for these reasons: The product works fine with the thicker blades one might use in a jig saw, but as one moves to the more narrow blades, like those used on metal, the blades fall out almost every time. In fact, with a really narrow blade, once it is properly seated and "locked in place" you can just jiggle it with you hand and it will fall out.
Visually one can see that part of the holding mechanism just doesn't seem to really lock the blade as they get smaller.
I did call DeWalt to see it they were aware of the problem and if they had a fix for it and I was courteously told they had no information on this issue. I guess they don't read bad reviews...I would have thought they would have someone assigned to that task.
Two additional thoughts: This thing is very heavy. And the bevel mechanism locks and it takes severe pressure to move it from its default position.
In the included photo the two blades on the left which are thicker, work fine, the two on the right both simply fall out after a second or two...not good.
So I am off to do more research in hopes of finding a better product.
