Just bought it several days ago.
Excellent fan. Larger than I thought but not too large for easily carrying around to all my job sites. Very strong (on high) and on low it's very quiet. It's setting are in a dial instead of only 3 hi-med-lo. It's well built and very solid I highly recommend it and the battery(aftermarket 5hr) last all day

GREAT PORTABLE FAN 650 CFM
Great build quality, long lasting fan time on any size battery , No cord connection needed because it’s Cordless. 650 CFM and IP54 Rated.

False information on the Home Depot website
While I like this fan, I really hate what The Home Depot did on their site. I was definitely misled into buying this over the older 511 model. I see the website has finally been updated, but when I purchased this fan I thought I was simply buying an upgraded version of the the older model. The HD site listed this new fan (DCE512B) as “Variable speed control up to 1000 CFM”, “Corded or cordless operation” and “Multiple hanging options: freestanding, hang hooks, tri-pod mount” in the Product Overview heading. Not only are one or two of these incorrect, but all three are lies.
Max CFM it’s actually only 650, there is no corded option and the tripod mount has been removed.
I’ll be returning this fan and buying the older model elsewhere. The lack of an a/c port and the general deception provided by HD are too much for me.

Great Fan - no more corded option
I love this fan. I have last year's model (DCE511) and it's one of my favorite "tools". I take it almost everywhere. The new model feels slightly studier and looks a little sleeker but they removed the ability to plug it in with a cord. Admittedly, I've only used the old model plugged in a few times, but it's been a nice back-up when the battery dies. I still recommend this fan but I'm disappointed to see such a useful feature removed.

This fan is epic. Tons of settings with a heavy punch on full speed. To my surprise and delight the efficiency is amazing. I was able to run it for what felt like days on a 4 amp hour battery, unbelievable.
