Hello dave. One of the reasons that you could be getting an uneven strip is that the deck height on the mower is uneven. Make sure that all the deck height levers are locked into the exact same notch. Another reason is that your blade is either damaged, dull or might even be upside down. Make sure the "wings" or curved tips must point up toward the deck and not down toward the grass. Also check to make sure that there are no built-up grass clippings underneath the deck that could be disrupting the aerodynamic lift needed for a clean cut. Lastly, slow down your walking pace and make sure you are overlapping your previous pass by at least 2 to 3 inches. Thank you for your question.
