This is not a Brushless unit. You may want to take a look at model DCS354B.
It's not a cordless machine either...
With a metal cutting blade it will. Make sure not to press into the metal object, rather move the blade left and right with light to medium pressure. Let the tool do the work. Also using the tool in this fashion on metal will also help increase the blades lifespan.
Yes , pretty much any metal. But the blade gets worn out very quickly. So I recommend only use it on metal as a last resort.
Yes, it will cut nails and staples with the right metal cutting blade.
Yes I think I have this tool for 3 years or more and I used to be havy duty job including linoleum flooring and tool response very good!! Don't be scared to use, you have to getting quality nife!!!
You would be better off getting a scraper blade for a reciprocating saw.
I would say that it would take a LOT time to do it with these blades. I would try to start a small with this tool and finish it off using something along the lines of an ice scraper.
Linoleum has asbestos in it. I would not recommend using anything that is going to create a lot of dust. That rules out all power tools.
This tool would not be recommended for that job by the manufacturer DEWALT
Without seeing the size of the mantel it would be hard to answer. The tool does not come with the head I would use which is a carbide cutter that is designed for use on tile grout and ceramic tile. When I think of a stone mantle I would suggest something a little bigger like a hand held jack hammer
I suppose if you had the right masonry blade you could potentially do the job, but you may be better off renting a masonry tool to do something like that.
I haven't tried grout, but is capable of cutting thorough metal and wood with no problem. So I guessing with the right blade is possible.
Hello John Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. You would need to purchase a grout removal blade separately, but this tool would be able to remove grout. Best Regard Sherri C DEWALT
Yes, it works great. However it does chew the blades up quickly so make sure have enough on hand before starting.
if you get the grout attachment ,i bought one and it works great, this is one of my go too tools very versatile, just get correct attachments
Hi Mel Yes you can use 3-1/8" hook and loop triangle sandpaper Deeris DEWALT
I would imagine it would be quite useful for scraping adhesive & removing trim. So far I've used mine for trimming existing materials where I couldn't reach with a saw, cutting square notches for around posts (it's great at that!) and trimming softer materials like plastic trim. It's a great tool which I can see it's uses would only be limited by my imagination.
this tool is great. Ive owned and been through many of these types of tools bein in the business, this has great blade lock mechanism and is durable and strong, highly recommend for a mid-level OSC tool. Grade A. tool good for demo of drywall, wood, special carpentry cuts, scaling off glue etc....must have for the tool box.
Yes
No. The one I bought last year in 2019 has brushes in it.It has worked very well on several different projects with an assortment of different blades. It has become one of my go to tools.
No, it does not have a brushless motor.
