Will this blade cut porcelain tile?

Asked by lifeisadimension November 9, 2020

Answers

It will likely cut the tile, but may chip it and/or break it while doing so. This blade is for masonry, i.e. brick, stone, or concrete block. You will be better off with a blade made for cutting porcelain tile. It is a very brittle material.

Is this blade compatible with a 7 1/4 dewalt circular saw? I need to cut some pavers for a retaining wall cap

Worked great in my DeWalt DW-369 7 1/4" saw for cement pavers. Make sure you have a good mask and eye protection. Dry cutting pavers blows a lot of dust and fragments.

Whats wrong with these pictures. Same part number different blades. I did not want the knockout in my blade. I received one and used it anyway. It got the job done. Just remember what you see may not be what you get.

Just what I needed!
While shopping for a rotary bit to cut some floor tiles, I stumbled onto this grinder disc and decided to get it as well (though I hadn't even considered using an angle grinder for this job). This disc turned out to be the winner by far, doing exactly what I needed. Watching cutting techniques in online videos proved very helpful, and I got the hang of it quickly. Recommended.

does great ! cut 300 feet of tile, still going strong
taking out bathroom floor. cutting horizontal grooves, 9/16 inch deep, every 4 or 5 inches of floor. have cut over 300 to 400 linear feet so far (allows me to PEEL up the tile floor), and have only used about 1/8 inch diameter of the blade. and that is off my already-frequently-used diamond blade. i've bought another one for backup, but this one is stil going strong
