I had a 10d HDG nail, in a connector on the top of a beam about 8 feet in the air, that must have hit a knot. It would go in no farther and it would not come out with my standard crowbar or my superbar or a hammer. I thought I was going to have to cut/drill it out. I stopped by HD later for some other stuff and saw this. The head is bent differently, which made it easy to get it on the nail. The slot gets very narrow and is sharpened, so it really held on. The regular crowbar had nearly stripped the head off in my prior attempts. With just a few swings of the bar I was able to persude the nail to come out. If that had been the only one I needed it for, the purchase would been been worth it to me. But, no, I had a couple more nails that had the same problem. I was really glad I the Persuader to convince them that their current position was untenable.

Recently we purchased a home, and completely demo's the inside, nothing but studs left, resulting in at least 3 30 ton garbage bins. Before starting this is one tool we got for the job, and I used it the whole time. I even used this tool today, to remove tome large nails that I bent over from nailing upside down. First it is solid, and it did not break, and I came onto this thing in many ways. I use my small dewalt pry bar for most things, but when something is stubborn, this guy finished the job for good. I just use the small pry to make a small crack in the joint, and put this guy in. I have also used it to bring up flooring that a person felt the need to use a trillion nails in, every quarter inch, and take out 70 year old hardwood studs. When I was dropping the ceilings, a few pops of the round end into the gyprock, and a gentle pry brought them down. If you are going to demo something, get one of these, priced right, and very tough.
