A: These should work fine, they grip very tight and firm. I clamped mine too close to the edge once and it actualy broke a 1x. Very strong and the reverse if you need to push against 2 outside objects.
A: Yes, it should do a great job with the Kreg system. This is a solid clamp and the force it applies should be sufficient for the Kreg jig.
A: Yes but depends on clamping restrictions.
A: The clamp should have enough force to hold it steady, but you might want to think about a second clamp, depending on how it's backstopped. For example, one clamp will hold it securely to the bench, but there is still a tendency to rotate on a single clamp point. A second clamp would resolve that movement. My experience has been that the DeWalt clamps are the best that I've used, as far as strength, operation and the pads on their working faces.
A: Yes, clamp is strong and easy to work with due to its small size. This should would fine with most baseboard molding that is typically not beyond 7 inch in height.
A: Yes, these are very strong. I bought 2 of these and use them to hold a straight edge when cutting 1x lengthwise. Excellent clamps and easy to use.
A: This 300 lb. clamp should be more than adequate.
