Q:So,Atomic 20 Max ratchet is better then DeWalt 20V Max XR?
    by|Jun 2, 2024
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Atomic compact series offers smaller size with the same power as the regular sized ratchets. DEWALT 20V in tools means it has brushes and DEWALT 20V XR means the tool is BRUSHLESS. Batteries are MAX/XRP are the same meaning extended runtime.

Q:Is this ratchet supposed to make a loud noise when working?
      by|Jun 2, 2024
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  The ratchets dB is 99 the highest speed compared to others at 115-117 dB. Everyone has a different level tolerance, but I was able to locate some examples: 96-100 dB is compared to a Boom Box, ATV, motorcycle and 115-117 dB is in between a chainsaw, leaf blower, snowmobile, sports crowd, rock concert and loud symphony. Hope this helps!

Best DeWalt purchase I've ever made.
This is probably the best DeWalt purchase I have ever made. I'm constantly in a bind working on vehicles and since buying this, I have saved myself so much time it's paid for itself multiple times over. It's quite powerful for an electric ratchet and I'm so glad DeWalt finally released one. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that works on vehicles and don't have an air compressor handy. It's amazing!

            Great for tight spaces
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 20v ratchet has been very convenient while working on cars where there's not enough room to turn a manuel ratchet, it fits well in your hand and has plenty of torque. I recommend getting some of the smaller 2 ah batteries as the larger ones can make it a little end heavy.

              Dewalt hit the mark again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am loving this 3/8 Atomic Ratchet. So far I’ve used it to hang a tv mount and now I’m building shelves for camping equipment. It has plenty of torque to drive in Lag bolts and the overall shape is easier to use than a ratchet on my impact. Also has a nice light up front to help see in tight quarters.

                Great Ratchet!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing gets the job done! Construction seems very solid. It feels good in your hand and has plenty of power and speed. Huge time saver. Obviously it’s bigger than a manual ratchet but that’s to be expected. I keep it on my workbench ready to go. I use it for so much more than I thought I would.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What can i say. Dewalts products get better and better. This ratchet is balanced well, fits good in my hands. It handled everything i threw at it. Tightened well and broke loose everything i tried. I love my dewalt tools

                    DeWalt does it better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This DeWalt 20v ratchet is a a slam dunk. The ergonomics are great. The power is even better. I like that there isn't a huge difference between the 20v and 12v in size so I get to use all the batteries that i already have and don't feel like I'm missing out because of the bigger batteries. I recently used this for a break job on my '89 F150 and it performed with flying colors. It's slim and powerful. I've used a milwaukee 12v ratchet and though it's good competition, the DeWalt is superior. It had higher torque, it's faster with spinning of nuts and removing fasteners and, most importantly, IT'S EASY TO CHANGE THE FORWARD AND REVERSE. The M12 has always been a pain to change back and forth but the DeWalt has a nice prominent switch that makes it easy, with or without gloves. I highly recommend it for mechanic work and I'll be using it for all of my DIY and work projects.

                      Power ratchet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic power in a ratchet. With the slimmer battery it is easy to get into tight spots. No doubt a tool I waited way too long to get. The light is easy to forget about until you need it directly at the ratchet under a car. Then it’s already on. We’ll designed and a great tool.

                        Great Ratchet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great little ratchet. Super helpful for those jobs where you need to tighten or loosen a lot of bolts/nuts. The ratchet head side is a little on the heavy side but it’s solid metal so it won’t be getting damaged when you drop it or bang it into something. It’s thin enough to access tight areas and has a comfortable grip. Great for both automotive and any diy applications. Overall I’m happy and would recommend this to anyone.

A good tool for it's use cases
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a specialized tool, for when you have a lot of fasteners that are NOT heavily torqued, or you don't have a lot of swing in a tight space. It has a very useful light, I can actually find my sockets while working in the field without needing an additional lamp. Not for use for tightening things with wood, as it's hard to gauge the torque, and it's easy to rip out the wood.
