I have changed this pistol 4 times and all with the same defect it jams or does not want to shoot, finally I go to Home Depot to get my money back because it is not cheap and they tell me that 90 days have passed since the purchase, as they are supposed to What if I have changed the same equipment 4 times, they cannot return the money? Love it.
I'm a DeWalt fanboy. This is my 8th electric gun. I love not having cords, or having a compressor kick on, and I don't have remember to oil it. Overall it works great and little noise it makes us very satisfying. But sometimes when changing racks of pins it doesn't fire correctly. It is heavier than a pneumatic gun.

Great for job site. But pretty bulky for shop
There is a lot to like about this new 23-gauge pinner from DeWalt. No more dragging out the compressor and air lines from the truck. The battery-operated nature of this pinner is so much easier at the job site. I found that pins load easily into the magazine and a single 2Ah battery will fire pins for hours. It has a decent range of pin lengths it supports….5/8 to 1 1/2 inches. The flywheel ramps up quickly and fires as fast as you can reposition the tool. But that’s where the party ends. This pinner is big and bulky. It’s about twice as heavy as my Grex air powered pinner and 50 percent bigger (see pictures). This tool is part of DeWalt’s atomic lineup. The atomic tools are smaller and more compact. Not so for this pinner. One great thing about a typical pinner is the ability to sneak it in small spaces. This DeWalt handles more like a heavy finish nailer. The DeWalt has an LED that my Grex doesn’t. But for some reason they put the LED on the back of the pinner. Strange. It doesn’t do a great job lighting up the work surface. Also, this pinner is expensive. $300 with just one battery. So for shop work the old air powered gun works better. I give this first generation DeWalt Pinner a C+ grade. I’m sure the cost will come down with time. And they will figure out how to make it smaller and lighter. Then it will compete with a traditional pinner.

                  FINALLY Got one!
Great pin nailer. I'm impressed with the small size for a 20V tool. Used a new powerstack battery and handles great. HD was the only place online to have the bare tool available for purchase mid May. Arrived in 3 days, just in time for a kitchen cabinet with crown install. No more compressor and hoses just for pin nailing.

                  Great pin nailer
I am very happy with this Dewalt 23 gauge pin nailer. I comes with a 2.0 amp hour battery a charger and a carry bag. Pin nailers are not usually used for long period of time. Unless of course that's all you do is fine small trim work then maybe you might use on all day. It shoots anywhere from 5/8 to 1 1/2 inch nails. Weighs in at 4 pounds. Has an led light to light up the work piece. If it were to jam on you just pop open the Jam release on top without the use of a tool, clear it and lock it back down. There is also a depth adjustment on top as well. When you run out of nails a light on the side of the gun comes on. Approximately 2000 nails per charge. Great gun I really like it.

Easy to Use - Very Good Power
The DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless 23-Gauge Pin Nailer Kit with 2.0 Ah Battery Pack, Charger and carry bag is an outstanding option when you want to invest in a cordless tool of this type. This nailer will handle 5/8" to 1 1/2" pin nails and Dewalt recommends the use of Dewalt or Porter Cable pin nails. I used 1" Porter Cable pin nails and they worked flawlessly. I tested this nailer with pine and oak and found that it drove the pins in just below flush with no problems. I was impressed. There is one thing that you need to know and that is that this tool will fire without being in contact with the work surface. Remove the battery when not using the tool. This nailer weighs 4lbs 12oz. with the 2.0 AH battery but is small and easy to maneuver and has LED lights for dark-lighted situations. It comes with a 3-year warranty. I think it is an overall excellent tool when you want cordless 23 ga. pin nailer. I recommend it.

                  Great pin nailer
Put this to the test the last couple days. Walnut trim, maple and oak crown could not slow this down. 1" pins snuck every time. Nose is small enough to get tight spots. I used with my power stroke battery. Kinda a pain to adjust the depth of pin and would have been nice to have the lockout override like the pneumatic but other then those two small inconveniences this is a wonderful gun

                    Excellent tool
I recently received the DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Cordless 23-Gauge Pin Nailer Kit with 2.0 Ah Battery Pack and Charger. I'm very pleased with this tool. The fact that I can go anywhere and be able to fasten something g is great. The 23 ga. pin is almost not noticeable. I secured the roof on my well in my front yard and you can see the the pins unless you look very close. This pin nailer is of high quality, works great.

A perfect nailer for those small pieces of trim!
This DeWalt 20V 23 gauge pin nailer is exactly what I needed to attach those small thin pieces of trim without damaging them. This gun is lightweight and operates with a 2.0 amp hour 20 volt battery. It uses headless 23 gauge pin nails from 5/8” – 1-1/2” long that leave a very small hole in the wood. It comes with a removable belt clip, a charger, battery and contractor’s bag. Overall it is a great addition to my finish tools and I would definitely order this tool again! One additional note to be aware of: The nailer is designed a bit differently that my larger finish nailer in that it uses a double trigger design as a safety. When ready to nail, the secondary trigger must be activated first, then the primary one is used to fire. If the main trigger is advertently pulled at the same time as the secondary one, it will fire, whether or not contacting wood. It is most likely designed this way in order not to dent the wood with a different style of safety, but can shoot a pin toward wherever it is pointing. I bounced my first one off the wall!
