Will my regular 20v max 1.3ah charger work with battery ?

Yes. Charging time will depend on the charge rate of the charger and the capacity of the battery. For instance your charger will take approximately 3.0 amps hours/1.3 amps or 2.3 hours to charge a 3.0 amp battery. For faster charges you can use a quick charger.

The data on these tools show that one is lightly heavier than the other and one oscillates at 18,000 and one oscillates at 20,000. Look at the specs on this page.

Oh wow. I made some shutters for the house and at first, I got the Ryobi jigsaw as I had some batteries for my outside tools. It was unacceptable (see pics). It didn't feel right in the hand and the blade guide was more like a suggestion for the saw. This is a great "precision" cutting device for certain applications. This tool was part of my decision to move to the DeWalt platform along with an excellent sale price with battery. I highly recommend although there are two more jigsaw options that I understand are as good including a barrel grip and the "brushed" older version that is well loved. This is a high quality tool. Don't hesitate to buy.

This will be a handy tool to own.
I had $150 worth of Home Depot gift cards from last Christmas and my birthday in May (my family knows what to get me). I held off using them until I figured out what I really wanted. I decided to spend them on this DeWalt oscillating tool as I will be helping my son renovate a 1930s house this fall/winter and I know sometimes there are oddball times when we'll need something like this. I liked that it was brushless, which should save on battery life and that you don't need a special tool to change blades. I already had 2 batteries for my DeWalt cordless drill, so I saved some money buying the tool only. It came with 2 blades, a bi-metal blade and an HSC blade (?) apparently good for wood. I wanted to repair the brick moulding trim on my garage door by cutting out the rotten area and cutting a new piece to fit instead of replacing the whole piece. So I cut out the bottom 10" with this oscillating tool without removing the trim on each side of the door (see photo). It cut right thru and it was nice to be able to control the speed with the trigger. It has a lot of power if you really squeeze the trigger! It was easy to control, too, and I got a nice clean even cut along my pencil line. The only neg I had was that the handle that you squeeze to change the blade is right where you want to hold onto the tool to make your cut. This might cause problems (broken blade maybe?) if you accidentally squeeze it too hard while you're cutting. I realized what I was doing and put my hand beneath the lever after that. Just something to be aware of. Maybe DeWalt could possibly come up with another way to keep the release out of the way when you're using the tool. All in all, though, despite its cost, I think I have added a good tool to my arsenal.

SUPER TOOL
I use this oscillating tool for everything! It's light, doesn't use too much battery, and is easy to use. The only con is that you will wear through blades pretty quickly so buy extra. I love this tool though and am kicking myself for not getting one sooner.

I cannot say enough good things about this saw. I just purchased this and I'm using it to redo our back deck. I'm mostly cutting pressure treated 5/4 x 6 decking and 2x's. I didn't initially see that it comes with a blade so I had purchased a Diablo construction blade which I'm using. I use a 5 ah battery with EXCELLENT results. It's weighted perfectly and the feature that I like the most is the trigger safety. Instead of being a button that pushes in, it's a lever that pulls down slightly; it's a very natural motion when you're holding the tool to cut. This is a very quiet, accurate and efficient tool, especially at this price point! Trust me, you want this saw!

Wood with nails, no dice! Bi-metal blade will last max 2 - 3 nails, period
I read reviews online and specifically bought this set to cut nails from between 2 pieces of wood. Reviews said to specifically use bi-metals blades only, look at the photos... There are absolutely almost no teeth left and I could only cut through 2 - 3 common nails. Dewalt typically has high quality products, for the most part. I would think or believe a number of folks would use these blades for cutting through nails in wood. Would not recommend, will not buy Dewalt blades again.

if looking to cut nails in wood, look elsewhere.
I specifically bought this set because I am looking to cut through nails in the side of wood steps I want to replace. I read get bi-metal for this purpose, etc. well not the case, as each blade last for perhaps 3 nails and that was it. DeWalt o have always trusted, rarely an issue. However I am assuming the bi-metal made no difference because now all 3 bi-metal blades have literally no teeth remaining.

This is my boyfriend's first brand new drill of this type and he absolutely loves it. The price was reasonable and he has already used it several times for DIY projects around the house. It's well made and sturdy, the only down side is the battery life, so I will be purchasing extras for him.

A great specialty tool!
I liked this saw so much I had to put it on my tool wall like a pilgrim's musket. Plunging, ripping, etc... all made easier than a traditional rotary saw. I can't make it bog down without getting stupid. The power is insane. The plate is solid and adjusts confidently. DeWalt makes great products and is American Made. (with some imported materials if I'm correct)
