Everything you should need for hand sockets
Mechanical wise, I bought two sets, each piece is of very good quality. Lifetime Warranty, knurling, I like the extensions, no filler, direct torque sockets. ¼,⅜,½ plus spark plug sockets. Great Value , gives opportunity to buy a nice full wrench set to your liking separately. They're in the case almost a little too tight, takes some effort to remove but I have figured out an easy way by just pulling up from the top of a socket, no issues , or any issues fixed easily on 800#DeWalt

Ratchets too short!
The other reviews are correct, this is good quality and value. But three problems make it a no-go for me:
1. Ratchets (1/2 and 3/8) are too short. See picture: the Dewalt 1/2" is in the middle, other brand (CT Max.) is on top and standard 3/8" on bottom. There's not much point in upgrading to a 1/2" ratchet if it's only 1" longer than a 3/8! This makes the whole set a bit pointless. The Max. one might be a big longer than average, but specs on a standard Snap-on are 1" longer than dewalt.
2. The case is unusable. All small sockets are impossible to get out without prying w/ a screwdriver. Some larger ones are a bit better but not much. This makes normal use, where you might need to remove/replace many sockets, impractical. Not sure why this isn't mentioned more - how am I the only one to notice this? You can't even use this set for this reason alone!
3. 1/2" sockets start at 13mm whereas the CT starts at 11mm. My car has some regularly used rusty 12mm caliper bolts that are no fun with a 3/8" ratchet so couldn't even use this set on them.
These 3 issues made this a non-keeper item. I hope dewalt reads this and can fix these 3 simple things. I would then gladly re-buy this set because overall the quality (and overall selection, for me) is better than the Max. Probably the best thing is the release button on ratchets - all sockets lock on firmly and release perfectly. Altho some users might prefer no lock on. This would be 5-star if the 3 issues were fixed, IMO.

Dewalt 192pc. mechanics tool set
Great full set , each of the 3 ratchets have their own full complete selection of sockets. Very well designed and engineered. All 3 ratchets have their own extensions to use with them. Would definitely recommend this set to anyone. 4 Stars

This is High Quality! Built to last!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Dewalt 192 piece mechanics tool set to upgrade from my decades old sockets that were just not grabbing hold of bolt heads any more. My first impression of the Dewalt rachets and sockets, when I opened the case was “This is High Quality!”. The 3 ratchets in the set, 1/2” 3/8” and 1/4”, along with the sockets, were all very well chromed and polished. The smooth clean surfaces will make cleaning much simpler, after I work on my truck, or use it around dirty job sites. When I grab hold of the ratchet handles, they fit comfortably in my hand, and I could grab the tool much better, thanks to the wider width of the handle area. All of the sockets are 6-point which will mean no slippage at all, even when I tighten those partly rounded heads. And the nice thing about this set, is each of the ratchets have their own complete assortment of socket sizes, large number of extensions, and adapters.
I used the set to removed several stubborn bolts on a job, where my old 16-point sockets would not grab any more. The sockets were sized very accurately to the bolt head, and there was no play once put on the bolt. It went on/off the bolt head quite smoothly. The ratchet mechanism was also very smooth with the large number of teeth build into the ratchet assembly. I also used the set to assemble a new stationary bandsaw, and large garden cart, and having this set made tightening the assorted bolts much easier. Overall, I am very impressed with this set, and would recommend this without any question. This is a Quality tool, build to last, and easy to use and maintain. Two Thumbs Up.

There are lots of sets out there... get this one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems like there always comes a time when one needs to upgrade. This time came for me and I started looking at the plethora of sets out there. The192pc. really seemed to cover the bases for what I needed as a home mechanic and avid DIYer so I picked it up.
This set is way more than just a reasonably priced home mechanics set. Dewalt really did some homework and included some great features. For example. All sockets come with a knurled ring around the bottom that helps you get a grip when starting something in a tight space or when anything oily is involved. Along that line they also clearly engraved the size indicators so they can easily be read at all times. Another thing that drew me to this set was the range of sizes. If I was going to replace what I have I need it to cover pretty well everything.. this set does NOT disappoint!! I’ve purchased singles that other sets did not have for one off things that this set covers both small and large. The included Allen and Torx are handy too especially as Torx screws seem to be more common.
Maybe what impresses me most about this set was the quality of the ratchets. I’ve had a ton of sets and bought ratchets off the tool truck because the included ones were so bad. Now, I’ve wrenched on these pretty good respectively and had no slips or flex. They feel heavy in the hard and with the 72 tooth mechanism (again great for tight spaces) these really impressed me.
In summary this set is perfect for any beginner or home mechanic and would serve an avid DIYer or Pro well. Keep them in case or do what I did and get you some nice rails and outfit your toolbox for a bunch of years to come!

Excellent Quality and Value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this DeWALT tool set a couple of weeks ago and I must say that I am very impressed. The quality of the sockets, ratchets, and hex keys are fantastic. The case is very nice and keeps the assorted tools neat and in one place. The sockets are easy to read and the chrome finish makes them easy to clean.
In the short time I've had the tools, I've worked on two cars and a few items around the house. The ratchets are crisp in operation and have no slop, like I have experienced with other ratchets. The ratcheting operation is smooth and precise. Socket sizes are precise as well.
I own European vehicles and the support of all metric sizes is very important to me. This tool set will allow you to perform most maintenance on any vehicle, or work on items around the home.
I have been a big fan of DeWALT power tools for over 25 years, and these hand tools do not dissapoint. If you are looking for a nice, portable set of mechanic's tools, this set is an excellent option. This would be a great tool set for taking on the road too.

These reactions are wonderful and tight spots
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set has a very good selection of deep well and shallow sockets in SAE and metric sizes. These ratchets are great in tight spots with 72 teeth and a 5° pivot. These are much better than my other sockets. I love the shape and feel of these ratchets. I’ve use them for about a week at work now and they look and feel great. This is a very comprehensive set. The cases are designed very well it holds all the sockets in nicely.

All Around Mechanics and Contruction Set!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 192 piece Mechanics tool set from Dewalt is probably the most versatile and best equipped set on the market. Ever since having the set at my disposal I never knew how important it is in the construction industry as well for its intended trade. I'm a contractor and a painter by trade but I work in just about anything if I'm knowledgeable. Examples of it's use are removing nuts in my case to get to certain areas to sand. I had to remove safety studs to get to areas where an orbital wouldn't work. With the multiple sizes included in the set I was able to figure out which one was the right fit and have it don't quick and easy.
Another example, is its intended use like removing an intake manifold. This was not the use I wanted it for but this set made my life so much easier. My work van had a major fix needed and removing the manifold with the help of a friend and the help of the Dewalt set made it a breeze.
This set honestly is the best set on the market. It comes with everything a mechanic needs and everything a tradesman/tradeswoman needs to get the job done right. It's made well and you can feel it. The attachments lock on well, the ratchets are heavy and not flimsy, the 10mm is there lol. If taken care of this set is going to last you years possibly a hand down to your son/daughter if they are into for hands on work.
PS. If you are an apprentice looking for a set go Dewalt and get the 192 set. It'll have everything you needed to get started. Don't let guys borrow your set... the 10mm will get lost.

Anyone would be proud to own hand tools, from such a large name in the construction industry. The ratchets are a work of art they are etched with the DeWalt name and are polished to perfection yet still grip very well.
72 teeth on the ratchets allows for moving nuts and bolts in tight spaces.
