Really Poor Results with Flexvolt Batteries
I have had 6 Flex volt Batteries. At the end of last summer I had two just quitting taking a charge and only showing one bar. After trying several different chargers and getting same error message I just tossed them (one 6ah/ one 9ah). A few months later I have the same issue with another 6ah & 9 ah. One bar - wont charge. The 2 6ah/s were built in 2017, the 2 9ah/s in 2020. I know how to care for batteries and have many 20V from 2013 that still work great. Something is not right with this platform in my opinion. Huge investment in outdoor and shop tools that is not paying off if I to spend $1000 on batteries every few years, which I wont. These are not being used everyday either, I am DIY all the way. Used in blower, trimmer, edger, rip saw, circular saw, table saw & miter saw.

Texas sized tree falls during 87+ mph winds
We already had 2 of the 12ah batteries but needed additional to completely mow our yard. These batteries also work on my chainsaw, tree pole saw (also a chainsaw, just on a pole) and other equipment. During this last storm that hit Texas we had 87+ mph winds and my neighbors very large tree was blown over. This tree was almost 60 years old and you could not reach around the trunk of the tree. There was a lot of wood to be cut. The tree was on its side but I was able to cut all the high off the ground branches with the pole saw. There were over 100 cuts of 8-15" diameter limbs and it was all done with one battery. It was so impressive that my neighbors father went out and bought one of the Dewalt pole saws and these batteries for his house. He has over 30 trees on his property and never thought a battery powered tree saw would do the job. It did and we are happy to have helped our neighbor.

Powerful battery last long
Im glad dewalt came out with 60v batteries. They are very powerful and work on 20v tools too. I use these on my skill saw, small leaf blower, jig saw, dome light, grinder and hammer drill. And they last me few days before recharging. Got a great deal on black friday

Worth the splurge
As you'd expect, this little gem -- which is about as heavy as a newborn baby cow -- works strong and lasts a ridiculously long time. I'm using mine paired with a DeWalt cordless compressor to pop superbike tire beads out in the field while racing.

This is an upgrade from my normal 5ah and I’ve found that the 6ah flexvolt runs WAY longer than traditional 5amp.
Used today with my drill and 1/2” bit 5 inches deep no problem. Had to drill 12 holes, battery still at 3 bars after all that. Very satisfied.

This 20/60-volt 6-amp hour battery is very versatile. It is not as heavy as my 9-amp hour battery that I have in my circular saw so if I don’t have a lot of cutting to do it is the better of choice because it doesn’t weigh as much. Also, when I have lot of drill or impact driver work to do it provides me with all of the power I need and to run these tools for a much longer time than the battery they come with. I like having the green LEDs available on the back of the battery so I can check the level of charge left in the battery.
The charger works well, is quick and the indicator lights let me know how the status of the battery.
The only complaint that I have is the packing of the battery and charger in an excessive amount of really hard to cut plastic seems unnecessary. A person could get hurt unpacking the battery and charger.

This is my first experience with and using a DeWalt Lithium-Ion battery and its 6.0 AH charger. The only issue I encountered was removing the red cap that protects the battery contacts when in transit. The Instruction Manual does not address removing this safety cap, but provides a drawing showing the cap sliding off the battery to the right. I tried for several minutes to remove the cap without success. I was about to take a flathead screwdriver and attempt to pry it off when common sense prevailed that this was not right. After re-examining the battery I noticed the yellow indentation on one side of the battery was a depressible lock/un-lock tab. Pressing this tab immediately released the red safety cap. The bottom line being, a one line sentence in the Instruction Manual such as "Press the yellow tab on side of battery to release the safety cap and to also remove battery from charger." would have sufficed. With respect to the battery and charger's performance, the battery quickly charges up and performs well in my DeWalt jobsite radio. See attached photographs.

This battery and charger works great in a variety of my DeWalt tools. Really nice that it works in both my 20v and 60v tools. The charger has large and bright indicator lights and quickly charges this battery. The cord is a nice length and I find the run time on a charge to be very sufficient for my needs. Battery came fully charged ready to use right out of the package!
