Love the ease of use and precision
This was super easy to use and very efficient. All you need to do is charge the battery up at least eight hours before you. It’s slightly with no issue you hold the handle and click the button to use it and it works very well. The blade is very sharp and it allows you to manicure your shrubs or bushes however you want to because of the ease of use and it’s very lightweight. I was able to use it while on a ladder by myself with no assistance. I would definitely recommend it.

            This Guy Is A Beast
I have been using corded trimmers forever. Once I tried a battery-operated one and was so disappointed that I shied away from cordless for years. Then this model came along and with the 60v power pack and brand name, I figured it was time to try again. I am very pleased with the performance. It is not as light as I had hoped but everything else is spot on. The teeth have 24" of cutting edge and it is powerful enough to plow through small branches and stems. The safety switch is great. You have to hold the hoop handle with one hand and the other has to push up a small lever then after all of that you can pull the trigger and cut things. The kit has a removable battery and quick charger. It also has a cover for the blades. I would really have liked a hard case but it is not a serious shortage.

Go beast mode on your hedges!
This thing is a beast! With the 60V flex battery, it has plenty of power and runs for quite a while without a recharge. The blade is a perfect length and makes trimming the hedges really easy. I’ve always had a corded version but never again. Best part is, with flexvolt, you can use your 20V batteries as well. You can even use the same charger, which is great because I don’t need another charger to keep up with.

Very good and powerful hedge cutter.
I LOVE this hedger, i actually own other dewalt tools that are part of the 20 volt a d 60 volt flex batteries and love that this tool can be used with rhe current 60 volt batteries i have. Now this is definitely a great tool and if you already have dewalt power tools, this is definitely a nice tool to add to your DIY collection. I have been looking for a tool like this to help me cut rose bushes and large burshes with thick branches. I will be included some before and after pics of the work i did. I know that my cuts dont look as nice because mt intention with thos tool was to cut my backyard bush as small as i can and let the leaves regrow. This tool has a 1.25" gap between the blades after i measured it which allows you to cut some decent size branches off. The tool comes with a small charger and a 20volt/60volt flex battery. At 20 volts you get 6 Amps of current and at the higher 60 volts you get 2 Amps of current for the included battery. I tested out the 12 Amp battery i have and it fit with zero issues. I believe that if you used the hedger full time for work you can easily get a full days of work using the 12 amp hour battery or the 15 amp hour battery since the 20 volt 12 amp hour flex battery gives you 4 Amps at 60 volts and the larger 20 volts 15 Amp flex battery gives you 5 Amps at 60 volts. This is a great tool and i highly recommend it and glad i was able to add it to my dewalt tool collection.

Loads of power and amazing battery compatibility.
First of all, why did it take so long to think of this battery architecture? Instead of have 18/20V batteries and a totally separate larger voltage interface, they have combined them! Sometimes there are tools that i want the larger battery in, say a chainsaw but don't want multiple chargers and multiple types of batteries. This solves it. Anyways. This trimmer has loads of power, and excellent reach. I have deep hedges all along my house that typical trimmers wont reach in 1 pass. These have just enough reach and enough power that i can quickly cut them in a single pass. It obviously is a little heavier than average but is well balanced in 2 hands. The battery capacity is more than enough for my needs on my property. The blade cover (which i do use) is very cheap plastic and actually broke the first time i took it off the tool. I wish it was just a bit sturdier but not the end of the world. The battery charger that's include splits up the charging lights into 2 so you can get a rough estimate as to how far along the charge is. The cutting capacity is actually quite comical on how big of branches i can cut. Normally i would have to get shears but not with this. My biggest complaint is the safety mechanism in order to turn it on. First you need to squeeze the upper cross handle, the flip the switch on the trigger, then depress the trigger. This is fine except if you let the cross handle or the trigger out it shuts off. Id love it if i didn't have to apply constant pressure on the cross handle and only the trigger. Its just rather annoying when cutting larger brush that might stop the motor and you have to start again several times. Minor gripe on hands down the best trimmers I've every owned.

Beastly Hedge Trimmer: FLEXVOLT 60V MAX Review
Hey everyone, just wanted to share my experience with the FLEXVOLT 60V MAX 26 in. Brushless Cordless Battery Powered Hedge Trimmer. It's honestly been a game-changer for me! 🌟 First off, this trimmer is no joke – it effortlessly cut through my bushes with ease. And the battery life? Surprisingly long-lasting, which was a pleasant surprise. It's also lightweight, making it comfortable to use for longer periods. The only thing to keep in mind is getting used to the safety bar, but it's a small adjustment for the peace of mind it provides. Overall, I'm really happy with it! 👍Mine was shipped to the house in its original packaging but had no damage. It was also nicely packed inside the box so you can be worry free of a shipping mishap. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

            Fantastic light and powerful trimmer
Pros: Best hedge trimmer used to date. Surprisingly powerful for a battery operated model. Cut thick ornamental grass (dried from last years growth) easily. Ran it for several hours on the included 6A battery and still had 1/2 charge. The extended cutting bar made easy work of bushes around the porch. The newly designed safety switch is innovative and easily adopted. Well balanced and much lighter than comparable gas models. The newly designed power charger is a good upgrade as well (half the size). Cons: additional batteries could be a cost concern for landscapers but if you have other DeWalt tools it’s a no brainer. For homeowners it’s a no brainer.

            Dewalt 60v hedge clippers
When I unboxed this it seemed to be very sturdy and well made. I have multiple dewalt products in 20v and 60v. This can handle up to 1.25" branches. This unit requires 2 hands to operate. It has a safety switch on the front grab bar that must be squeezed to use it at the same time your other hand squeezes the trigger. I can use my 20v version with one hand if I need to reach out to clip the top of a bush. This 60v version does not give you that option because of the double handed safety feature. You can only trim what you can reach with both hands extended plus the length of the clippers. These are very nice clippers that made very short work of trimming back vines and branches on my mother-in-law's willow tree. They are very heavy duty and were able to saw through a 1" branch fairly quickly. Love that I now have a 2nd battery for my weedeater. The 6amp hour battery that came with this unit will run the clippers for a loonnngg time. I ran them for about 30 minutes and it was still showing all three bars of charge. One thing that i didnt care for was the small battery charger that slides onto the top of the battery. My weedeater came with a nice rapid charger for the 9amp hour battery. You can use the 60v flexvolt battery with your 20v tools but you CANNOT use your 20v batteries with the 60v tools. Overall I am pleased with this unit.

Hedging Your Bets: Unsheathing the DEWALT 60V MAX Trimmer
Just to let you know where I stand, I have always been a big believer in corded power tools. I am on the careful side and have never cut a cord in 40 years, but if you are on the fast and careless side you may want a cordless tool just to keep from cutting a cord! I even used a corded lawn mower for many years. I have several corded hedge trimmers and they work fine for skinny branches, but fail for thick branches. I looked for a high end corded trimmer that can deal with thick branches, but they simply do not exist. All the high end trimmers are either gas or battery. I would never want gas. They are in the process of being banned in my California anyway. Therefore, I decided to give the DEWALT 60V MAX Brushless Cordless Battery Powered Hedge Trimmer a try. It has industry leading 1.25-inch gaps to cut branches over 1 inch. With no battery it weights a hefty 8.5 pounds. Of course, it is useless without a battery and that adds another 2 pounds which gets it to 10.5 pounds. To compare, my corded trimmer is under 6 pounds. Not exactly fair as the corded model bar is 24 inches and the DEWALT bar is 26. Eleven pounds doesn’t sound like much, but if you need to reach over with it for a long period of time it can get heavy. As expected, the DEWALT could cut thicker branches, however, if I tried to simultaneously cut multiple branches it would bog down and stop cutting. Even so I was more productive with it. The battery lasted much longer than my back did as I wore out before the battery did. I expected more power because I knew most battery tools are 18v and this one is 60v. What was most interesting to me was that the same DEWALT battery can also be used for 20v and 40v tools as the tool just automatically taps off the appropriate contact to get the correct voltage for the tool you are using. The battery claims 6 AmpH of capacity, but my bet is that the 6 Ahr rating is for 20v and not at 60v. The only thing I didn’t like about this tool, beyond craving even more power, is it has 2 safeties and requires 2 hands to use. You need to grip the U handle with one hand as well as simultaneously holding the trigger with your other hand. The trigger also has its own safety lever which was difficult for me to use. Using 2 hands on the tool can be more dangerous in some situations like when you also need to hold on to a ladder with one hand at the same time as using the tool. However, at over 10 pounds most people would not be strong enough to use very long with one hand. I certainly am not. Overall, if you want a cordless hedge trimmer that can cut thick branches I recommend this tool. The only annoyance was dealing with the safety, but they are likely on all models.
