The DEWALT DCS577B 60-Volt MAX 7-1/4 in. Cordless Worm Drive Style Saw features a blade oriented to the left of the motor and the handle positioned at the rear of the saw to optimize line of sight when cutting. An electronic brake helps stop the blade after the trigger is released. Bevel capacity is 53°s with stops at 45°s and 22.5°s. The saw achieves smooth, accurate cuts and long runtime with a durable, high-grade magnesium shoe and an efficient brushless motor.

skil saw has a button that pushes in to lock the blade to turn the nut loose and tighten it.

Plenty of Power
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has enough power to compete with corded worm drives, but in a super portable package. Equipped with a couple of extra batteries, it might just replace your corded model for framing all day long, and it’s a great tool for any job where you need extreme portability or the convenience of not having to roll out a cord.

Highly priced but average quality.
I am a carpenter and had this saw for about 8 months before it crapped out, while cutting lattice.
The lever to change angles is a bit tight and difficult to loosen.
Dewalt used to be the powerhouse I am told. But they do not have the quality of 20 years ago in their tools now a days.
I would recommend to anyone in the construction business to buy a different brand. For I have had several issues with my dewalt tools. Having them for a short period of time.

This is exactly what I have been wanting. I have always used wormdrive saws, this performs exactly like a corded saw. I was very impressed.

60v worm drive
I've had this cordless worm drive saw for two years now. It's the lightest and strongest saw I've used. This thing will gut anything you put in front of it. I've been using worm drive saws for 25 years. This is by far the best one I've used. It's great not having a cord to trip over and still enough power to go all day. I had a friend over helping me install a new floor and walls in my trailer. My friend has been a carpenter for 30 years. He couldn't believe how good this saw cut. He said this will be his next purchase. It is a little expensive, but when you want the best you have to pay for the best.
