Q:Can the lifting wheel be locked in position to move the stand around, or do you have to continuously hold it down with your foot while moving the stand around?

A: To move the DW750 around you will have to step on the foot pedal to unlock and lift the stand. After you reach your new location, you will push the foot pedal up, dropping the base into a locked position before you resume planing.

Q:Knowing I would have to drill new holes? could I mount a dewalt compound miter saw? Dewalt table saw?

A: The top of the DEWALT Mobile Thickness Planer Stand is 20" x 23" and is 29-3/4" high. While this stand is perfect for the thickness planer, I prefer my miter saw to sit a few inches higher (34" - 36"). As for the table saw, it will depend on the size of the base of the saw. I am assuming that it would be a jobsite table saw as other table saws come with either a "Scissor Stand" or a "Rolling Stand."

A: Your machine is wired for 120 Volts, 60 HZ alternating current. It is not recommended by the manufacturer, DEWALT to attempt to use an adapter or transformer in order to attempt to make the tool work at 240v.

awesome planer

This machine is a beast. I didnt expect the capability and smooth finish. First time user and i was not sure i actually needed a planer. Yes, I do. Rough sawn logs glide thru and become wicked flat and even. I checked with a digital veneer. Heavy heavy machine.

easy & top pre-drilled for several Dewalt planers

MDF top pre-drilled, clearly marked for DW733/DW734, DW735 thickness planers. Easy to assemble with a ratcheting 13mm socket. The only balky step was mounting the foot pedal in-board (it can also be mounted outboard). The holes lined up perfectly for outboard mounting but were a hair misaligned for inboard. But no drilling was required to get past that sticking point; just had to turn the bolt to get it to go through. Sturdy and maneuverable final product.

Great stand with minor setup issues.

It is heavy duty but the braces on the bottom didnt line up so i had to drill out new holes. I flipped them around so many times to make sure i wasnt doing anything crazy. But sure enough one side would align and other side was way off. The foot pedal being placed on the inside is a bit of a hindrance with the bottom shelf put in, didnt feel right so i placed mine on the outside of the unit. The dewalt sticker is crooked.

Holes don't line up

Out of the box, the holes on one end of part A don't line up with the holes on part B. They're off by 1/16 and the bolt can't go through. Complete garbage that this makes it out of the plant.

Sturdy and Functional

I bought this along with the 735x as a package deal on 11/20/20. I just put it together two days ago and am pleased with the instructions for installation, the functionality, and sturdiness of the product. I also appreciated the fact that the bolts for the planer installation were included. I figured I’d have to get those separately.

Grooves on base plate

Just got my machine and base plate already have multiple grooves. Several of them are about 3 inches long. Very disappoint on the machine.

Buy it!

If you’ve been on the fence or you see a good sale, buy it! Fairly easy setup, absolutely no snipe out of the box with no adjustment on a glued up beam. I couldn’t be happier.

perfect stand but pain to assemble

Great stand - very sturdy and super easy to move around, which is imporant for us garage-shops. It has holes for the Dewalt planer pre-drilled which is nice. I wish they made these for other producs!

Very smooth planer. Wood comes out like sanded. I like the extra capacity.The debris shoot is crazy powerful! Will shoot wood chips across the garage. So use it outside or have a dust collector attached.The stand is also great. Good quality and makes it so easy and convenient to move your planer around.Only used it a couple times but love it so far.

DeWALT 735 13” Heavy Duty 2 speed Thickness Planer. I’ve never had a planer before and I’ve only had this one for 2 weeks so I can’t compare it to others I just know I bought the right one it will plane a board up to 13” wide and you can get by with little to no sanding this planer has numerous features including a dust port that excepts 4” hose. This planer included extra blades, In and out feed tables and the planer stand all at a very reasonable price. Although it’s a bit noisy you should have eye and ear protection. This yellow machine is a great addition to my Garage/shop.
