I Would Not Buy The Thought System 1
When the TS 1 first came, they were an attempt to manufacture a better carrying tool case and even thou they had some good features different than the competition, they had some short comings in the "Design And Manufacturing" (it is obvious since they redesign and built them different in the TS 2).
I bought 3 under the wrong information given by the Home Depot customer service, that the yellow trays fit the Thought System #1.
Upon arrival a different day than the scheduled I found that they don't fit, so I returned 2 (third could not return because It got bang damaged while in my possession).
The laches are almost impossible to open and close in addition to other design faults.

Holding up Great
Extremely durable and great organization. Got the insert so my most used screw drivers and pliers are easy to find, visible and I can just grab them real quick when I need them. Holds a lot of tools and weight.

I purchased two, gave one to my son and he has already purchased two additional container.
I received a container last Christmas and it has different latch locks on the front.
Both work well.

not good
The latches that hold the boxes together broke off on both sides of the box. Dewalt wants me to pay to send it to them instead of accepting my pictures which makes it a lot more expensive to own. Wont put any more money into a bad product Now its just a box.

I love this storage system and they you can customize...
I love this storage system and they you can customize it to your needs especially if you are on the go alot. Then one draw back to this specific box size it is not deap as the Extra large and it is also not as tall. So be weary as to what you will need this one for. Although I will say, I have a dewalt track saw and it fits perfect inside of it.

toughsystem small tool box
Wanted something to store my batteries in to carry from job to job. I had to remive the trays that come inside the case, but it works perfectly. They all fit just right and i can stay organized. Awesome!

I loved the boxes, but the latches are not sturdy.
Kicked it one time..... and the latch breaks off. Basically worthless now.

This product is not worth the price it’s listed for. You’re paying for best and receiving good/better. If I had to do it again I’d either spend half the money on cheaper brands like ridgid or just get the comparable more sound Milwaukee set up.
Attachment clamps are made from plastic, poorly designed considering these have space to hold quite some weight. One of mine broke the first day I had it. We’re now on week 4 and the metal clamps for the boxes themselves are already going.. losing their lock. You would think I packed it full and forced it shut but sadly don’t own enough stuff for the to even happen.. metal clamps on cheap thin plastic.
The wheels are my last issue. They’re small And wide for the weight and get stuck on tiny stuff like pebbles/transition strips. I don’t think I should have to lower the case 45° to get it over stuff that small.
Things I do like is the amount of space actually inside compared to other pack outs and the plastic shelving system is nice as well.
